Very good purchase
Great headset, clear and easy to manage. Adjustable headset and volume control.

Comfortable for a Corded Headset
Great clarity and adjustability. Pretty comfortable, though the cord would be a bit irritating for those who prefer cordless. I like corded headsets because I have not had good experiences with cordless. All in all, I recommend it.

Quality headset
I had an older model of these for many years that finally broke. I purchased a different brand locally to get me through and really did not like them at all. I then purchased a more expensive Plantronics set and didn't like them either. I found these and since they appeared to be identical to my old ones. I bought them and I love them. Is sound quality for both me and the listener is excellent. While not ideal, I can wear them all day if I have to without significant problems. They are not sound canceling or sound blocking, but that is one of the things I like about them, I can hear my environment.

Pretty good
I'd been using a binaural Plantronics HW261N headset for, oh, probably 12 or 13 years now. I loved that thing. It was so lightweight and the sound was so absolutely adequate that I could leave the headset on all day and use a switch to flip it between my phone and my computer, and listen to music anytime I wasn't on a call. It was comfortable, and had a quick-disconnect attachment which enabled me to later transition to a USB connection straight to the computer when I no longer had to take calls as a regular part of my job. But the mic was starting to get scratchy, and when I'd try to record narration voiceover for a screencast or something, I was not happy with the quality I was hearing, and I had to assume everyone I spoke to in Zoom meetings was hearing the same thing. It was time to get something new, but I didn't want a huge gaming headset, and I didn't need a call center headset, but I was really pleased with Plantronics' long term quality and the lightweight comfort, but also I didn't want to spend more money than I should just buying a new set of an old model, so I went looking, and looking. That's when I learned that Plantronics and Polycom have done a corporate fusion dance and now the company is doing business as "Poly", and that the "Blackwire" line is their prosumer grade selection, "ironically" identifiable by its trademark high visibility red wire. It had pretty good reviews, and seemed to basically match the format of the old headset I was replacing, so I took a chance on them. They're not bad, but I have some critique: 1. The dumb red wire. Haha get it? because it's named Blackwire. Its edgy, it's ineffable, it's modern, its cool. whatever. I'm a professional, and I actually don't *want* to draw attention to my headset during a video call, so I don't mind if it's all black and doesn't stand out. I can live with the color, it's just a dumb marketing thing to juxtapose against the name and I'm not impressed by it. 2. The dumb red wire is about 60 inches long, but it ought to be about 72 inches long. This complaint is probably more to do with the idiosyncratic setup of my own desk space and how my wires are routed (it now connects to a USB switch that toggles between two computers), but I find it's frustratingly just a little short at times, and I wish it had another foot in length. 3. The volume control & mute buttons on the dumb red wire are too high up. They should be further down the line so that they are more out of the way and hang over the lap, rather than hanging across the belly. 4. The fact that it BEEPS when you press the volume buttons. This is an amazingly stupid and incredibly annoying feature. Any press of a control button like volume or mute causes a distinct beep in the headphones, which seems to always be the same volume, irrespective of the volume level being set on the computer. No apparent way to disable this. REALLY hate it. 5. The mic boom gets a little in the way when drinking. After a little experimentation to find the optimal position for the mic relative to my face, I find that when I lift my mug to take a drink, sometimes the edge of the mug collides with the end of the mic boom. My old headset had a mic sweet spot that apparently worked well with my cups, but this one is a little shorter and sits in a different spot and so manifests some occasional conflict with my cup. On the other hand, these complaints haven't stopped me from continuing to use it. It's really lightweight and comfortable. It accepts gentle adjustment. I can wear it all day and forget it's on. The sound quality in the headphones is as much "absolutely adequate" as the last one, so it meets my needs and expectations. I'm not trying to be an audiophile here, I just want to listen to music all day while I work, and use the same headset for occasional recordings or video meetings. And it's STEREO! My old set was MONO, so that's a fun upgrade. The mic quality in particular is nice and smooth and clear and without scratch or crackle. Huge difference in recording voiceover for ad-hoc instructional videos. I do miss having a quick-disconnect. I had gotten really used to that. Also, this doesn't come with a line clip (a clip that attaches to the cord, and then "bites" your shirt, to keep the weight of the control box on the line from pulling too much on your headset), but I was able to pop the one off my old Plantronics set and use it here. The cord is thinner, so it doesn't stay in place as well as I'd like, but it works for now. For the price, it's absolutely fine, if not great. It could be better, and I'd even be willing to pay a little more if it was, but it's not.

I recommend
They have been working great thus far even after being damaged, they still work at least one earphone. They do start to get uncomfortable after a couple hours with them on consistently it starts to hurt your ears a bit but overall I like I would recommend.

Not as good as I thought
I had a cheap headset from Walmart that was perfect but they no longer make. I purchased a Logitech, which had issues with echo and sounding like I was talking in a tunnel. These are a little different. Good reviews for the price. They seemed okay at first, then customers complained that I sounded far away. Then the echo came back. I've adjusted some settings and hope that may help. They are not very comfortable on the ears either. I wouldn't purchase this product again.
