Inferior on all counts!!
It has nowhere near the expansion or quality that the GRO-MED product has … it crumbles looking like dung… with a very lumpy uneven consistency…I mistakenly ordered the ten pack thinking it was Gro Med and have been sorely disappointed … It is without any NPK starter nutrients as well …To anyone who found this product acceptable you obviously never tried The Gro-Med….

Good replacement for peat moss for amending your soil
These are highly compressed coco coir blocks, it's a great way to use up a waste product from coconut processing. The coco coir helps lighten up dense soil and it holds water well like peat moss. Peat bogs are a limited resource so this is a much more environmentally conscious alternative. The coir is heated to remove any possibly contamination. The blocks reconstitute quickly.

Uniques source of potting material
Very unique idea and so much easier to transport than a bag of soil. Easy to rehydrate the bricks using hot water and a small hoe to break up the brick as it moistens.I don't think the price is appropriate to the amount of potting material generated. Plants seem to be doing well.

Good deal on a bulk pack of coco bricks that works well with seedlings.
At around $3 a brick this is a decent deal. The coco bricks swell up and break up nicely with a bucket of water. Not sure how many times this coco coir was washed or how much salt it has. Plants seem to be happy for now. The fibers are not that big or fiberous. That caused some of it to drain out the bottom of potting containers. I prefer loose coco over bricks, but bricks are usually slightly cheaper. These seem to be a good choice.

Coco Coir Conundrum: More Bricks, Less Bang for Your Buck
I purchased the 10-pack of coco coir bricks, tempted by the price and quantity. I have a lot of large flower pots to fill, and the first one I filled with a name-brand coco coir brick required approximately 2.5 bricks. However, with these current coco bricks, I needed 4.5 bricks to fill the same pot to the same level.Pros:Affordable price per brick.Cons:Takes longer to expand and absorb water compared to other name-brand coco coir bricks.Chunks in the mix make it look like cow dung, although this doesn't affect its use in larger pots. The 10-pack requires more bricks to fill the same volume as name-brand bricks, making the price difference negligible.Overall, the inferior quality and extra work required with this brand don't justify the price savings.Recommendation:I would not recommend this product. I will be returning to the name-brand coco bricks for their ease of use, better quality, and comparable price breakdown.

Is was ok I’m going back to the original cocoa coir.
It was ok. I didn’t like the off smell so I mixed it with some soils and added to my raised bed. I bought another on Amazon that was slightly more expensive and thought I’d try to save a few bucks. I learned. My seed starts did ok in it but my tomatoes said no. Maybe it will be better for you. It’s ok but I’m kinda picky.
