![Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81T55KK5ECL.jpg)

What happens when a drunken promise leads to living with a dragon? That’s Miss Kobayashi’s new reality when Tohru appears in her life. With a maid slash dragon in her home, she’s experiencing a whole new level of domestic bliss! But the dragons don’t stop there. On a mission to find Tohru appears Kanna, a little dragon with a big attitude. Before she knows it, Kobayashi’s got a house full of dragons—one serving tail and the other serving serious moe! Together, they live side by side with only the occasional disaster…well, maybe. But nothing beats coming home to the warm welcome of a dragon maid! Review: Wonderful show! - I love watching this show. It’s just a lovely and feel good show. I enjoy watching a few episodes before I head to bed. I could watch easily on Funimation, but this was one of those shows I wanted a physical copy of. I’ve noticed that some people complain about the dub, but it’s done well, and pretty much the only way I watch. Some people are just too concerned about getting a 1 for 1 translation, which is impossible. I can accept some localization in the dub. And it’s not pushing an agenda as I’ve seen some reviews claim. I was disappointed that the OVA episode is not dubbed though. Review: Sweet and cute and very funny. - So, after a drunken promise a dragon comes to live with loner and downtrodden Miss. Kobiashi. They learn about themselves and each other as they begin to coexist. There's a wonderful balance between humor and the heartfelt moments. I notice some have complained about there being issues with a "rant" on sexism or whatever, but I barely noticed anything other than a stray comment one character says to another one. I'd highly recommend this anime if you want something light, funny and heartfelt. I look forward to the second season coming to physical media in 2022.

Good Comedy series with great animation
Being a fan of this show already, I decided to purchase it not only because I felt this series was good, but to help out the studio who made it after it's recent tragedy. This show is very light hearted at it's core, but when it decided to bring in more dramatic moments, they feel heavier due to it's light hearted nature. Good animation from Kyoto Ani. #HelpKyoAniHeal

A great and charming show.
A completely charming show made by the great Kyoto Animation studio. A second season of this show was announced before the tragic fire that took 33 lives and their assets they were working on (likely the second season of this show) in April 2019. Watch this show, it really is a masterpiece, and yes, you will want a second season. Let's hope Kyoto Animation can recover and give us that second season as promised, after they mourn the deaths of their friends and colleagues. If they do, it will be a while, as they will likely have to re-create it.

My emotional support anime
Not gonna lie, this anime is one of those rare cases of being something I go to whenever my depression is at its worse. The animation is lovely, the characters are all wonderful and voiced perfectly, has my all time favorite openings to an anime ever, and it can be genuinely funny. This is slice of life with a fun twist, and while not the most action packed it still is a fun ride.

Fantastic anime to enjoy, but avoid the tragically awful English dub!
I highly recommend this anime as it is a fantastic show that contains great comedy, adorable characters, and amusing stories that make you fall in love with the show and its cast. So yes, I give this anime two thumbs up and a definite buy for anyone looking for a show with the aforementioned qualities. However, as someone who watched the subbed Japanese version when it aired, I have to give a warning: DO NOT watch this show in the English dub. I am not one of those "subs are greater than dubs" elitists in the anime community. But the Funimation cast failed on all aspects that I was shocked as someone who more often prefers dubs over the subs. I do not know if it was the casting or the direction they were given, but the voice acting missed terribly on most of the important characters. Kobayashi sounds deadpan and bored when she should be non-chalant. Tohru is nasally and annoying in her voice instead of being cute and amusing. Lucoa sounds like some surfer valley girl when she should sound like a clueless airhead. And even the darling Kanna everyone loves is wrong, sounding like an angry brat instead of with a soft spoken dreamy tone. I was just shocked at how different this was as it causes changes in the depiction of the characters that is NOT good. As previous reviewers have stated, Funimation staff injected their personal politics into certain scenes of the show. To blatantly change the source material is betrayal to the source material, its creator, and the fans of the series. Leave the politics in that arena and OUT of our entertainment! Despite all of this, I still bought this product as I wanted a physical copy of the show I loved because it is that good! I just recommend you do as I will and watch it in Japanese with subs. Funimation and the staff that worked on this title should be ashamed for their poor quality and injecting political agendas into what is a great anime.

Makes you sort of want a dragon maid of your very own...
This is one of the funniest and heartfelt anime I have seen in the past five years or so. All the main characters are great and have their own "lovable quirk" or two. Each episode is filled with humor, a touching moment or two, and somekind of moral lesson. Sure this anime has it's ridiculous/fake situations, but a lot of the things that goes on is very real and relatable. A very heartwarming story about what it takes to be a family and all the ups and downs that comes with it. Highly recommended to all anime fans!

A hilarious slice of life series
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is a funny slice of life anime that I recommend. There are a few moments that could be misconstrued as steamy, but that depends on the viewer. The English dub has a few questionable lines. The characters are well written and provide hilarious scenarios bolstered by the fact that half the cast are supernatural creatures.
