These boxes are working perfectly for me. Each one is housing my battery pack for my garden fountains. The clear cover seems to have a sun reflective tint to them but still allow me to see the digital display of the battery. They are water proof so I can keep them outside all the time. Because the cover snaps close I can change the battery without having to remove any screws. MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU BUY. The width of mine is just perfect but I thought I measured the width as being larger.

I am wiring up ethernet throughout the house to maximize speeds. I did not want to place electronics in the hot attic, so I purchased the 8.8 x 6.6 box to hold a small ethernet router for placement high on the wall in the hallway. Both ethernet and AC power wiring enters through the ceiling and into the top of the box. The box makes all this look more professional and also provides for easier access in case I need to check on the router. Mounting the router inside the box was awkward because the holes in the board in the back of the box did not align, so I opted for 3m double stick tape instead. Adding holes to the box was easy using one of those costly conical tapered reamer drill bits which made short work on the plastic. The angled brackets to mount it to the wall are ok but it holds the box away from the wall a bit. Optionally I could have drilled through the back and mounted it directly. There was another bracket included which I could never figure out where or how it was supposed to be used. The box latches and seals tightly and securely, but that was not important for my indoor application.

Nice small enclosure with watertight seal on door. Has removable breadboard so you can work on your project out of the enclosure and when done, it installs with 2 screws. I added an N-type 3.0dBi antenna and a gland for the wire feed from the solar panel to power the 18650 battery charge manager and it's up and running! The quality of the enclosure is excellent with good hinges and appears to be stainless latching for the door. Drop a couple of gel desiccant packs for moisture just in case. I hid mine behind the solar panel to block the sun but the antenna stick out above it. Keep the heat off the electronics and battery. Comes with some mounting hardware as well. This is for the 5.9"x3.9"x2.8" enclosure listed.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great little enclosure box and it’s very reasonably priced, especially relative to anything you can get at a bug box hardware store. I purchased the 8.6x6.6x4.3 version. It comes with a DIN rail and a grid backer that can be used to attach electronics (although I didn’t need for my purpose). I used the box to secure radio antenna wire coming into the house and protect the connections from the elements. It’s easy to drill whatever holes you need for wires to pass through or for mounting. The door is easy to open and close, which is nice compared to electrical boxes that have screw on covers. 5/5 product.

Excellent for two DC volt meters. Door clamp securely to the box. I cut a panel for two volt meters so I can monitor the voltage on each side of the charge controller.
