Vortex Optics Viper HD Roof Prism Binoculars 10x50

The Viper has a quality feel in the hands. So handy to pick up and go outside at night and spend some time with the sky. Last night, even though the seeing was a bit below average, I located the Andromeda Galaxy within a few minutes and enjoyed watching the view materialize as my eyes adapted to the darkness. I definitely recommend the Viper 10x50 and would buy again.

Very nice binoculars

We live in a semi rural property in Queensland and our property is always active with bird life. We had an old 1980s set of Jason 6x binoculars but the optics were not flash. These binoculars are awesome! Great optics, powerful zoom, and amazing light gathering powers.

A - B comparison to my 25 year old Bushnell 7 x 50's, this Vortex 10 x 50 wins hands-down.To be fair, the Bushnell was relatively inexpensive back then; probably costing less than $200. That was a lot of money for me 25 years ago. The Bushnell served me well and are still quite useable. But I wanted something better.I studied binoculars for a month with a Motorcycle camping trip to Yellowstone looming on August 7th. Finally pulled the trigger on the Vortex. Did the comparison yesterday. Yep, money well spent.

The brightness and clarity is great, but the bridge separating the distance between the two eye viewing optics is a bit narrow for fitting the distance between my eyes. because of that I gave it a rating of four.

These binoculars are amazing. I wanted a little more power than the 8x42s (which are also amazing) but with the same view field and clarity. I tested the 10x 42s and they just didn’t have that same crisp field of view. I also compared these in the field to the zeiss conquest HD and easily liked the vipers. The build quality is exceptional, the diopter is smooth and strong and clarity is stunningly crisp.

My Binoculars arrived quicker than expected. Very good quality binoculars. Love it.
