I LOVE IT! The log includes everything I need
I've had the journal for about a month and a half. I LOVE IT! The log includes everything I need. I know my exercise well enough to use shorthand if I can't fit in exercise column so not an issue for me. I now use the log to improve on my times and weights every time I work out. I wish it had a years worth of pages in it but I like it enough to order several to get me through this year and next. I'm not a huge weightlifter so it works good enough for me. If I do more than three sets I just go to the next row. I also really appreciate the Weekly Progress Charts. Great for accountability. The cover is solid and I love the stretchy page holder. Journal is small and easy to carry in my bag anywhere I go. Pages flip without getting hung up and inner spiral allows book to lay flat.

I don't think a body builder would appreciate this, but the moderate gym rat can appreciate it.
I've just got mine and entered my first few days of exercise. I do a beginner's strength routine on the gym machines and cable crossover three times a week as well as interval cardio training and even with it being a full body workout, I have enough room for all of my routine. Someone who does more than thirty minutes of strength training may find that there is not enough room for all of their routine, but I did not have that problem. I also have small handwriting and had more than enough room to record my exercises, but I can see how others might not have room in the provided spaces. Again, the beginner to moderate gym goer will find this handy, but the dedicated gym rat would probably say that there just is not enough room. I like that it has spaces to record supplements and track your bmi and such, that is just convenient. I think this is a great tool for keep one honest about their activity level and I cannot wait to see how I have progressed when I fill this journal up!

Great Workout Journal for Beginners and Mid-Level gym goers
Just received my workout journal and I am excited to begin using it. I got one for my husband too. We are starting to workout and go to the gym again so something like this is perfect for us. I really like the look of it and the size (its not so big that it would be difficult to bring to the gym yet not so small that writing it in would be difficult (unless you have really large handwriting). We are beginners and i can see using this journal even as a moderate user. There are spaces for 3 sets for each exercise on the strength side (which is where we are at), and i believe there are 11 spaces for the type of workout on the strength side (which is more then enough for us).

I like this workout Journal
I use this journal everyday. I like the set up, the notes section, supplements section and a whole page for cardio. My only CON for the journal is that the columns are a bit small so writing in it is sometimes a challenge and the sets only go up to 3 sets; which is an easy fix since you can continue on the second line- there is room for many different exercises to be inputted. Overall, I like it and once I complete this journal, I will re order another one.

Pretty darn good.
I like this book. I wish it was a little larger as I do not write small even when I try. The progress chart needs to add a left and right to the legs and arms row. Overall pleased with this purchase and I hope I can stick to it.

Too small
I do like this book, but it's too small, not enough room to write in the actual exercises. Otherwise, it's a great book. You have to write really tiny.

Nice layout EXCEPT, only 3 columns for strength / weight training - THREE????? Really??
Nice layout EXCEPT, only 3 columns for strength / weight training - THREE????? Really?? But I can get around it by just writing (think I can handle that) - just seems weird. All else if very well thought out.

The workout journal is well laid out especially if you need space to put in weight training, but is missing the hydration tracking that was shown in the images when I purchased it.

........its pretty good
this was bought as a gift and for the most part its ok.. it does seem to contain alot of pages which would have been better serviced as blank notepages rather than being so full of training info thats not necessarily relevant.. and the item description doesnt make clear what type of training its full of so if it had i would have perhaps opted for a different book

Lovely little journal, very good quality
Handy little log full of useful information and tips and tricks to get you started. I never workout without jotting down details of my exercises after, and its helped keep me motivated. Also arrived on time and in excellent condition. If you're a beginner, or find it easy to get distracted, or even a pro who wants to measure their progress, this is pretty essential.

Good Book
Good workout book with plenty of tips, and formulas for working out everything from BMI to your resting hear rate. Only downside is that it only has space for 3 sets. I do 4, but i simply write into the edge of the page, so no real hassle.

This is good for detailed record keeping of various exercise
2 pages for each day to record cardio/flexibity eg yoga/strength training. Lots of tick boxes and spaces to record types of exercise and levels plus make notes. Excellent.
