My old rubber "dagger" was broken by students (as are many items over the years). I needed a quick fix since the class has their final performance soon. This retractable dagger is perfect for the play! I'm sure having the backups will be necessary, since students do not always take care to avoid breaking things, unfortunately. The quality is good so far, but I can see them not lasting too long with teenage enthusiasm. Keep that in mind when purchasing.
