For the Love of the Game: My Story Hardcover – October 19, 1998

I received this book as a gift and found it to be an awesome read for the sports enthusist. The Hardcover layout makes for very easy reading. I later purchased the paperback book as a gift for someone else but wasn't too happy with it. The layout of the softcover is totally different from that of the hardcover. The layout of the Hardcover version makes the difference. After letting a relative use my book, I never saw it again. I recently purchased another copy (Hardcover) for my son who's 11 and loves to read sports books. He loves it. I highly recommend the hardcover version.

I bought this book March 24, 1999 in the grips of Michael Jordan fever as his basketball prowess and success swept the country, and we needed to know how did he come to exist?!? This book provided a glimpse into what made him so great at this point in time. The photographs are excellent. I love that Amazon lets me look back and see what I read when. Not sure what happened to this book. It was a must read at the time, and still can provide insight into one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

I love this book. I had one for many years.My family are enjoying this book in Europe.

The book on the inside looked, felt, and smelled brand new. The cover had normal wear and tear .. No Complaints, absolutely love it

The book is full of great photos. I especially liked the one of Jordan and Dr. J! It also has great statistics from Michael Jordan's career. The layout is very different. I did not like it all that much. I was also a little disappointed that we did not really get to see more of the real Jordan. For a brief moment, we saw his humanity when he wrote about his father. Briefly, he mentioned his family. But mostly, he wrote about himself on the court. I guess I was hoping for more humility from this superstar. I believe he has it in him but the book doesn't show it. He certainly has much to brag about, but I thought he always let his bragging be seen through his play on the court.
