Lara Croft: Tomb Raider

True Native 4K Tomb Raider Eye Candy!
As a long time 4K UHD Blu-ray Format lover, I have come to find that the older movies that were done on 35mm film, are some of the best real 4K detail experiences. 35mm film can easily achieve 4K level of detail from a film scan. It’s capable of somewhere around 4-6K worth of resolved detail from a film scan. 65mm film or IMAX film is capable of a 12K resolution scan of detail. So all the early adopted Digital Video camera movie makers with only 1080p resolution, really suck when it comes to trying to upscale to 4K. To be honest, all the movie producers should have waited until the Digital Camera technology got to at least 4-6K resolutions before using digital to make a movie project. Some of the absolute best looking 4K movies come from Christopher Nolan’s film only movies. He refuses to shoot Digital. That being said, after watching Mortal Machines in 4K, I can without a shadow of a doubt say that using a professional 8K video camera to record a movie, really provides a jaw dropping source material for a 4K video format. It gives the editors plenty of room and detail to edit the film, while not having to worry about loosing some detail here and there around the edges. Right now, all movie Directors should be seriously thinking about the future format being used to watch their movies in the near future with 8K around the next corner. 8K is sort of at where 4K was when it first came out and wasn’t mature yet. I can’t wait to see some 65mm or IMAX filmed movies in full 8K glory in the near future from the likes of directors like Christopher Nolan.Back to Tomb Raider. It’s a 35mm film scanned at 4K and brought to this wonderful format in full glory and detail. Any fan of this film back in its hay day, will love watching for the first time at 4K level of detail to see things we never knew were there before! Thanks

worth the upgrade to 4k
I have watched Tomb Raider many times and was delighted to find it in 4k. If I had had Lara Croft as a role model when I was a little girl instead of Sandra Dee and Doris Day, I might have turned out differently. I really respect Angelina Jolie who did the bungie ballet and the ride on the swaying thing in the temple herself because the stunt doubles got dizzy. She deserved the part. The 4k only adds to this adventure and preserves a film that deserves it.

Lara Croft
Angie captured the character and this is by far my favorite movie of Angelina's besides Salt and Wanted. This movie is not to be taken seriously, it's just good fun and I enjoy watching Angie do the crazy stunts. I have watched it dozen's of times.

Well done Videogame to film adaptation.
Even though Angelina Jolie has TOTALLY the wrong body type for this character, she does such a good portrayal of Lady Croft, that you buy it right away.Even better, she very obviously does nearly ALL the stunts and fights in this film. Most importantly this seems to be the best video game film Hollywood has churned out yet. This may push your suspension of disbelief, it is still VERY well done... the sequel just makes you shake your head, when she drives a motorcycle off the side of The Great Wall Of China and survives, and punches a shark twice her size.... yeah right.

A imagem está ótima, pelos anos que foi lançado. A qualidade do áudio poderia ser melhor, mas não é ruim. Ótimo filme. Nostalgia pura.
