Oh these twisted sisters..
.. and their cliffhangers! They leave me ravenous for more yet always leave me full of angst with their notorious cliffhangers! Eagerly awaiting the next book in this remade series. The characters feel real. The storyline sucks you in. The alpha-hole men make you want to scream in frustration and moan with need from page to page. Those nasty, petty little gods! I hope they get their just desserts! These authors are very talented, but kind of evil. The worlds & characters they create are amazing & unforgettable. Each story is a rollercoaster ride of emotions from laughter to anger. I’m glad I found this series of theirs. It’s definitely worth the read.

plot good but so dragged out
Getting kind of bored because the book moves so slow, all these tedious flashbacks and it’s getting cheesier and cheesier. Finally someone gets it in though

Couldn't put down, the drama continues with the MCs and the deathly fights begin
Wrathful Mortals KU, $6.99, 371 pgs ****.* 4/22/24 Erik, Montana, Julius, Magnar, Callie & Fabian4.5 stars. The two Gods, Idun and Andvari continued their cruel games with our MC’s forcing marriage and false connections to create more hate between them. Callie and Montana were kept away from Eric and Fabian, but their god created vows kept them all in turmoil. Callie continued her dream visions even with Fabian to try to find out who he really was before the curse of Andvari turned him into a vampire. Montana never lost her love for Erik and tried so desperately to make the others understand that Erik was cheated from his human life by Andvari and how his regrets from that curse had led him in ways he tried to fight against the curse for his thousand years of being a vampire. There was so many hurtful things said between the 4 humans, it was truly amazing how they ever kept any humanity at all.Montana was desperate to solve the prophecy. She and Callie tried to come together finally, to take the prophecy and decipher it one line at a time. They thought they may have answered the first two, but no one could be sure it was correct. They were determined to keep trying so this thousand-year feud could be stopped, and they would all live to see the end of the curse. The ending was a fight to end all fights between the males, the twins and the gods controlling all their actions. Callie had the only weapon that could possibly help the fatal situation they were all in..Again, this book was all encompassing and very hard to put down I think one of the main reasons that I love this series is because it’s giving me all my desire of having the same characters in every book and not hopping around to new. I feel like I am actually getting a full and amazing story with this series and can’t wait to read them all.

Loved the first 3, this one was mid
The first 3 books were amazing, all 5⭐️ reads for me. The one felt a lot like a filler book. The plot was really dead for most of the book. It was a lot of historical back story about Magnar and Erik’s rivalry. A lot was revealed, like the true extent of the Gods involvement, many pieces of the prophecy fell into place, and I think the book finally ended in a place where the two sides might team up against the Gods. But jeez it was just… uneventful in the present. Mostly the slayers hiding. Julius pining for Monty, Monty and Erik pining for each other, Magnar and Fabian pining for Callie while she pined for both of them but not really. Gah. 😖 I had a hard time getting through it to be honest because it wasn’t the kind of twisted sister book I expect. BUT, I’m excited to start on book 5. I think it really set the stage for book 5 to be epic.

what will happen next
I enjoyed this book. I think this book was more of a filler book for this series. I have really enjoyed this series so far. This book just gave us a down time in the chaos that they have all been going through lately. The last twenty to thirty percent of this book is where the book starts picking back up and the action starts coming back full force. With the twins torn between love, family, and duty they find themselves in a difficult position. The gods have also decided that they were going to continue on toying with the slayers vs vampires using their bodies to do their bidding in this battle that’s been happening for over 100’s of years.I was so happy to see that Callie was finally able to break the hold of Iduns curse but then I was so sad that she had to make the hardest decision and go against every part of her body to save Montana.3/5⭐️’s1/5🌶️’s

AMAZING
This series gets better and better with each book! I am LIVING for these rewrites. I loved the series when I first read it, but it never held a candle to ZA or any of the sisters’ others series’ if I’m being honest. It’s definitely moving up in the rankings in my mind and could easily tie ZA. Wrathful Mortals was amazing. I’m glad that Callie and Magnar finally got to have a “moment” and that Montana is back with Erik. I love Julius but I’m still not a fan of Fabian. I don’t think I ever liked him in the originals either but we’ll see if that changes with the rewrites. The ending wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. The Sisters are well known for their soul crushing cliffhangers, but this wasn’t that. It was a good ending that definitely makes you want to know what happens next but it wasn’t a “oh my god I’m going to d!3 if I don’t get the next book right now” type ending if you know what I mean. Oh and F the Gods.🩸Vampires🗡️Slayers💔Forbidden Love📜Prophecy👩🏻🤝👩🏼Twins🔥Dystopian⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5🌶️🌶️/5

Enjoying it so much
Usually, by book 4 of a series, I'm ready for the plot to conclude and to start reading the characters' epilogues, but with this series I'm not wanting it to end.Montana and Callie are finally reunited, but they are still fighting for their freedom. The gods are ruthless and refusing to make it easy.Montana and Erik are separate for a lot of this book, but Erik really makes some growth in this book.Callie and Magnar have new obstacles to overcome, and I really felt for Magnar.I was and wasn't expecting the ending to this book. Bring on book 5.

Love this series
The twisted sisters have done it again! I really love this series; this book was great - Erik & Montana are my ultimate fave and this book left me wanting more at the end! Thankfully I didn’t have to wait long to begin the next one

Needs a bit more editing
The book arrived in impeccable condition and was very enjoyable for the most part, but I did find a fair few spelling errors throughout the novel. The errors were a bit more distracting/noticeable than I would have preferred, but the plot and the characters were engaging enough to get around them.

……
After three books of the twins being separated it was a given that this book would be Callie and Montana reconnecting after their escape at the end of Infernal Creatures. Although this book started off slowly the last 20% definitely has me excited for Forsaken Relic. The spice turns up a tad in this one and as we flip between the past and the present we get a better understanding of the war between the vampires and the slayers.
