Great learning reference, really cool circuit examples
I have to edit my last review of this book, which was premature. After fully reading and using this text for over a year now, I have to say this book is really good. I am not a college student anymore but instead purchased this book to learn about physiological signal capture in my career. The book starts with a thorough introduction on the nature and properties of bio signals; sensors and their properties, and how common lab equipment functions from an E.E. perspective. There is a lengthy section on transistor amplifiers and all related small-and-large signal analysis, a rather more in depth look at some stuff from E.E. 201. Long and thorough discussions on modulation schemes for medical signals. I could go on and on .... this book has a very wide scope. Northrop goes heavy into the math and analysis of analog circuits but then backs it up with many real-world examples and in some cases, real world part numbers that go along with the schematics. The text is fairly up to dates. This book is certainly for senior level college students and experienced engineers.
