Caddy Bay Collection Black Carbon Fiber Glass Top Watch Case Holds 10 Large Watches

I reviewed numerous watch boxes to hold extra large and tall size mens watches and this product by Caddy Bay was mostly well ranked by Amazon consumers but there were also a handful of bad reviews too due to large watches "not fitting" and a few sporadic quality issues. I was cautiously optimistic when I ordered this product hoping for the best but concerned about the few issues raised by other Amazon reviewers of this watch box.In short, when I received the product it was well packaged and protected both by the manufacturer Caddy Bay Collection and by Amazon. The product was in excellent condition, and there were no issues with the quality either. The box is solid, hinges work smoothly and are sturdy, it closes tightly, opens fairly easily, and the glass top provides excellent viewing.I placed both an extra large and tall Invitica Reserve Mens watch and medium sized men's Bulova and Rolex watches in the box next to each other side by side and they fit well in the box.Some members complained that with their large Invitica watches that the glass hit the top of the watch face when the glass top of the box was closed. This concern with the glass touching the top of a large and or tall faced watch can occur however it only happens if you do not strap the watch snuggly around the provided watch pillow - meaning don't use the first two or three notches of the wrist band but use the midlle notches to make the watch more tight around the pillow to keep it from raising up and touching the glass. Additionally, making the extra large watch more snug around the pillow keeps it in place from shifting or moving.For mid sized watches, it is not necessary to make the watch snug around the pillow; however, it will keep the watch in place better.The one or two comments about the box being a little difficult to open again depend on the user's viewpoint. The box closes securely as it should and is best opened with two hands. It does open easily with two hands but it also stays closed tightly when completely shut. Closing the box completely to where it snaps closed and opening it without a key is simple, but you could also close the box top fully down but not shut it completely so that you have even faster access - after all its meant to be used daily and or weekly and the lock on any watch box can be easily broken by a thief if they wish.I also did seperate searches for best watch boxes and this particular model by Caddy Bay came up in two seperate, recent studies by watch reviewers.For those few customers who did have quality issues with their purchase, it seems that it is simply due to the law of averages where a manufactured product can have issues, and if it does occur, simply return and replace the item with Amazon as that is the point of buying through Amazon to begin with.No product is ever perfect, but this product is well worth the money given the size, fit, quality, price, and intended use to simply store your watches in a dust free, easily viewable and easy access case.Bottom line: well worth the money spent for storing extra large and regular size watches for a man or a woman.

Not bad for the price but you get what you pay for. In the pictures you will see the "carbon fiber" pattern material is not aligned to the edges of the box on both left and right sides, this definitely creates a visual distraction.Hinges on the lid are smooth and effortless. The lid stays open just fine and the attachment appears secure.The latch is solid and works well but is difficult to open with one hand as you need to pinch the buttons then lift while they are depressed. Would be nice if it had a small spring to pop the top lid up a little when the catches are depressed.Pros: Cost, width of compartments, watch pillows, overall sizeCons: Workmanship (material alignment), latchI have not yet decided if the material alignment bothers me enough to return it or not. If you are really OCD this may not not the watch box for you.May 5, 2021: After looking at this watch box on my dresser I decided to return it. The mis-alignment of the material would catch my eye each time sunlight would hit it. I just received this gorgeous box today. I ordered the watch box on January 30 th from California. I received the gorgeous watch box within a week too Michigan. It was packed so well, and it’s perfect for my needs. It is made if black carbon fiber, with a glass see thru top. It has hinges on both sides, and the watch pillows are very nice. This won’t be my last one of these watch boxes. You can’t go wrong with thus watch box what so ever. Keep up the great work, and customers will keep coming back

This box is the perfect size. While I've not stored any larger watches in it; it appears they'll fit quite nicely when I do. The material covering the wooden frame of this box has a very classy and neat appearance. I am expecting, however, that the crease around the top of the box will attract dust very soon.Additionally, I am concerned this fabric or covering looks as though it may come loose from the box after some time. Be advised, it has not! I am only saying it does not look very secure. This is especially the case, as I compare it to another item I purchased from the "Caddy Bay Collection." (I love a cufflink case I purchased at the same time).Finally, this item arrived very quickly and though it appeared to be packaged adequately, my box has a ding/flaw on one corner (this is where the last star was lost in my rating) that may have occurred during shipping. I'm a Invicta Collector this Case is amazing. Not cheap looking at all and displays all my watches Beautifully. The Case is very durable not cheaply made. I bought 1 case now i own 3. i saw similar cases at the store for double the price and not worth what i would have paid. I highly recommend this case.

Product came in good condition. It looks really nice, but I wish the pillows fit a little more snugly. The way they fit right now, my watches wiggle around when I move the box. So if you align all your watch faces perfectly (if you're into that), they'll move around if you move the box (tbh, I'm happy with it. Stuff a tissue in there maybe).To open it: pinch the two silver buttons on the front. Also, the opening latch locks! (So thieves can't just steal the watch they want. They have no choice but to take the whole box :)
