The world's greatest detective is back -- and this time, he's fighting crime in the brave new world of the 22nd Century! After Sherlock Holmes is brought back from the dead, he is rejuvenated to that of a 25 year-old to help good friend Inspector Beth Lestrade battle an unprecedented crime wave wreaking havoc on this peaceful future. To assist Holmes, the personality of his loyal friend and companion, Dr. John Watson, is programmed into the brain of an android. They quickly lock wits once again with the consummate criminal: Professor James Moriarty, the only adversary Holmes ever considered an equal. Like Holmes, he's been brought back to life by 22nd Century technology. Unlike Holmes, Moriarty is determined to dominate the crime-free world of the future.

Interesting concept
This is a very interesting concept for an animated show, Sherlock Holmes was in suspended animation and is revived in the future. A robot becomes his new "Watson". The stories are well written, the characters full developed, the animation is fluid and well done. The series is from the 1990's and was shown on television. Despite what the cover of the DVD says, this is NOT a full length feature. To me a full length feature is one show that is over an hour in length. What it does have is 4 episodes from the series, in order as far as I can tell. The next disc after this is called "Out of This World", it also has 4 episodes. This DVD is enjoyable for teens and adults too, in my opinion, important if you have ever sat through some mind numbing animated shows.

The complete series
It's exactly what it says it is: the complete series of Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd century. This is a good show, mild enough for younger kids but interesting enough for older kids and adults. I'm glad I found the complete series on Amazon for a good price. I've watched about a season's worth so far and had no problems.

Everything's good
The discs work, the case was in good condition, & timely shipping.Pretty good show too, only had noticed it on TV a couple years ago, but it's the same kind of animation style as many of my favorite cartoons from back when I was a kid in the 90's.

Underrated
I had to add this cartoon series to my collection for nostalgic purposes. I recall it being decent, but I felt like this series has aged beautifully over time! It felt better this time around!

Great show.
I loved it. I got to watch the whole series from being to end. Sad they only made I think one season. And I was able to watch every episode. Back when it was on tv I would sometimes miss a few episodes so when the next one aired I was confussed what was happening.

This DVD pair of an old animated series is fun! If one wants a relaxing time watching Sherlock Holmes and a lovable robot Dr. Watson roping the bad guys, this is it. The stories are an enjoyable mix of 19th Century sensibilities and futuristic bravo.
