DEATH IN A SKIP a gripping British crime mystery full of twists (Slater and Norman Mysteries Book 8)

Have read a few PE Ford books now and find them entertaining with likeable characters, and easy to follow storylines- and a chance of working out ‘who-did-it’ 😊 (not full of gore, lots of obscure characters, convoluted plots and ‘cheating’ explanations.)

Now ex police officers investigate tragic death. They do so despite ex colleagues actively trying to dissuade them. A fast-moving quick read.

I have really enjoyed this series of books and the characters are credible and. I am looking forward to the next one.

Good series. Unlike many where the main characters always revert to their starting point so they're ready for the next book there is a real development going on here. New main characters are introduced as well, to replace some who are 'lost.'This is the best story so far and we are well teed up to go on. But beware anything could happen...to anyone.

Slater returns from his visit to Thailand, he is at a loose end, no job and no future. Norman introduces him to a kitchen providing sustenance for the homeless. They have decided to start a detective agency. A mysterious death in a skip starts them thinking as the police do not seem to be interested

Well upto the usual standard. I really enjoyed it.

Good read

Red hair dyed black goes green. Jenny would need to be a brunette to avoid this.Homeless now or not, women don't usually want the kind of green hair this dye job would result in.

Came together perfectly. Can't wait for the further adventures of S&N investigations and finding out Ginger's story. Glad to see jolly, Slater and Norm all together again.

I so enjoy this series. Characters are well developed. Lovable and human. The twists and turns are so much fun that I can’t wait for the next adventure !! Bravo. With each turn, they just keep getting better! Sit back and enjoy the ride.
