Another fantastic instalment of this trilogy
Another fantastic instalment of this trilogy. I grew up reading Stephen King and always loved their detail and familiarity of characters. The immersion into Bray's world is reminiscent of this in the best possible way. There is a lovely sense of unease throughout and it gives a fresh feel to the haunted house genre. Beware the trees!

Couldn't put it down!
I was delighted to discover the Whisper Trilogy. I'm an avid reader of all things horror and discovered Michael Bray a few months ago. I love supernatural/ghost stories in particular and Echoes did not disappoint. I'm looking forwards to reading Voices next and the short stories that are now available about how Hope House came to be.

not as good as first book
The first book was better and a bit more atmospheric. If there wasn't cheesy lines such as 'a single tear rolled down his cheek ' it would be better. Second book seemed more like a point horror book I used to read when I was a young teenager.

page turner, not to be missed.
I was so struck with the first book in this trilogy (whispers), that upon finishing it, I immediately bought this, the second (echoes). I was not disappointed. From start to finish, I did not want to put it down. If you like horror and supernatural themes, this will certainly please. I eagerly await the third instalment.

An awesome sequel to Whisper. Bray takes the story to new places and I am very interested where it will go next.
