Do these work?
Nicely made and presuming they do what the blurb tells you, a great idea to protect a boiler. Most combi boiler manufacturers mention using one in the installation booklets so when my original needed replacement (it started leaking) I replaced like for like.

Insurance policy for appliances in hard water areas
I have a bit of faith in these scale inhibitors and have used this on my washing machine. It must be positioned one metre from the appliance water inlet to be effective. It is therefore NOT suitable for whole house protection.
