Nice for the intermediate player branching out into Bass Clef
I’ve played Tuba for many years, not necessarily to a high standard but as a recreation that’s given me a lot of pleasure. I play both in Bands and at home to practice and to enjoy music, normally I play in treble clef but being able to play in bass clef is a very hand skill to have. IIRC virtually of all the pieces can be played on a three valve Eb Bass (that’s what I prefer to play) with maybe just two notes in the whole of the book failing below its range - effectively no issue there then. The upper notes are not high and I’d expect to be able to happily use a three valve BBb with this book too. This is an unaccompanied book (no piano just you) and as such I find it perfect for music making at home, my playing has certainly benefited from working through the book and I return to it regularly - the tunes are enjoyable and the practice polishes my skills. The pieces or tunes are short enough to enjoy and perfect (play without error) but not so long as to become burdensome, so two or three to a page. There’s plenty of variety in classical style and some pieces present a bit more challenge whilst others allow the lesser player to manage something too. It’s not an expensive book and I’m very pleased to have bought it.

Back in the saddle after over a decade!
I haven't played tuba since 2009 and recently bought an antique tuba to tootle around on but couldn't find any simple music to practice of songs I could recognize. Sat down with this book tonight and found that I could immediately sight-read about half of the pieces, and within a few minutes I played Ode to Joy, my first tuba song in over a decade! Super happy with this purchase. The only thing that could make it better is a page with fingering charts for Bb, Eb, and C tubas.

Great for any Tuba Player
Great book to sit down and play key sections of classical music. Varying levels of music and there are some great songs to be played. Love ending my practice sessions with a few of these songs.
