Very intuitive read and a challenge to take in.
Lennox is a highly intelligent academic who has not let his mental capacity bolster his self image to an attitude of superiority above others. His book is an in depth look at AI from a plethora of perspectives. It’s not a casual read. However, his insights, research, and comprehension of the ramifications of the topic are impressive.

Extremely important work. Should be read by all.
The author does a tremendous job at addressing the different issues that go along with the concepts in the world of AI. It is really important that we truly think through all of these things for the moral and ethical issues they raise, but also as it concerns future safety of the human race. Lennox raises some very valid points and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is beginning to evaluate the implications of the AI revolution.

Always the best.
Logically and thoughtfully laid out. The usual high level thought presented by a brilliant scientist in an intellectually digestible format as is the pattern and habit of this author.

A Must-Read
Lennox is a genuine technology maven who discusses the pros and cons of new discoveries and innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, many of which are a little unnerving. His citations are excellent. I'm reading the book very carefully, am almost halfway through it, and you'll want to read with a red pen in hand to mark and underline as you go. Print size could be larger, however.

An Essential Guide to AI and Mankind's Response To the Transhumanist Agenda
John C. Lennox is the C.S. Lewis of our time. His other books on science and religion (Cosmic Chemistry, Gunning for God) are among the best. In this updated edition of 2084, Lennox provides a detailed study of AI and transhumanism. Many people see AI as just another tech fad, but it is more than that. Lennox unpacks the history of AI, what it is being used for (good and bad), and what it will become. Unlike a lot of AI discussions, Lennox takes a deep look at the potential ethical quandaries of AI, especially those who would abuse it as a totalitarian weapon, and those who would push some sort of post-human vision where humans become like gods. Of course, this has never ended well in the past, and this rebranded, tech version of eugenics would not either. Lennox exposes all this to the light of Christianity and finds mankind has already been given the things the AI-transhumanists are looking for: Eternal life and a real god-human. See also Humans 2.0 by Fazale Rana, and Non-Computable You by Robert Marks, and see how C.S. Lewis wrote on many of these topics decades ago in, The Magician's Twin by John West.

Really excellent and well balanced view of AI realiities. No scary end time nonsense, even though the ideas are there, there is balance. Lennox Christian views are balanced by consideration and clear evaluation of alternatives. Useful as an introduction to the subjects breadth and possible avenues of thoughts and research
