- Plato Bello freshwater pearl necklace is designed and produced by Rodrigo, using a traditional stone mounting technique that has been passed through generations in his family. He encases each pearl individually to enhance its shape and character. Five pearls are linked together to create a beautiful necklace, complete with a handmade sterling silver chain.

About Fairsilver Hi, I'm Roxana, I am from San Luis Potosi in Mexico and established Fairsilver in 2006. I work with silversmiths who live in the outskirts of Taxco, an ancient mining town in Mexico. The silversmiths we work with use techniques that have been passed down through their families from the Tlahuicas tribe and Aztec era (900AD). Fairsilver is eager to keep these skills alive and to support these talented silversmiths, some of whom live in extreme poverty. We work towards Fair Trade ethics in a number of ways: We pay for the production of our orders in advance. All our pieces are designed in conjunction with our silversmiths to ensure each piece is priced accurately and that our craftsmen can make a good living from their jewellery. We work to delivery times dictated by the silversmiths we work with, not us. Our jewellery is delivered with information about the craftsman who created it.
