It’s my favorite time of year to sit on my porch but I can’t with the bugs . I turn into a big bug bite . These work to an extent. The smoke and smell is a deterrent but I still need to wear bug spray . I usually put two out on different sections of my porch and it has reduced the amount of mosquitos in that vicinity but doesn’t completely protect you from them. They last less than an hour and even less when it’s windy. The smell is unique but it’s not overbearing like some incense sticks can be. It doesn’t smell like citronella or lemongrass that’s for sure . For the 8 cents it cost for them , it’s worth trying a bag to help shield what you can from the bugs but it could be just the smoke that’s doing most of protecting . I do appreciate that my dogs and toddler can be around it and doesn’t contain any deet but I wouldn’t rely on them to be your true bug protector .

Well it’s winter here, but in the summer this is one item that the homeless ask for. They also say they work. So I keep handing them out like they are going out fo style.
