Love the Strathmore series. This paper is amazing for coloured pencils.
Love this paper for coloured pencils. The price is cheaper than some of the other hot pressed papers. Nice size. Have bought quite a few of these pads and they always arrive on time and in good condition. Takes quite a few layers, eraser works well and the overall end product looks fantastic.

Great for pencil drawing
This is nice, heavy paper with an upmarket feel to it.After trying the 400 series Bristol for the first time with this purchase, I’ve found that I don’t like the vellum finish on these for ink drawing — even though 300 series vellum works really well. Nibs — especially mapping nibs for dip pens — get hung up and tear tiny bits off the paper leaving you with a clump on the end, and rapid o graph style pens to a lesser extent, too.But the texture makes for superb pencil shading and you can build up nice values easily — it’s better for this than the 300 series.Pencil and graphite powder erases nicely on this paper — great for highlights. It’s slightly off white though. I don’t mind this as it means a touch of white gouache really pops if you use it to accent lit areas.
