Easy upgrade for for older cars with no other options
I installed this on a 2003 Infiniti M45(w/o nav). I plugged in to the back of the cassette player, tapped power from the ashtray(behind ashtray is where I chose to mount the unit), connected my phone to the GROM unit Bluetooth, hit SAT button a few times to find the correct input. I had to remove some console/dash trim to install, TOTALLY WORTH IT! Perfect solution for older vehicles with monitors in dash that control heat/radio/etc. Car still looks stock. No more FM Transmitters. Connectivity and sound quality have been great since instal(1 month).

Worked good. Won't connect now. Never had auto connect feature. Very expensive for a cheap product

Works good as long as you don’t expect miracles.
Works very good on 13 g37 without nav. Install was very easy, 6 screws to take out /put back in. The only thing I had a hard time setting up was wiring. All you need to do besides power and ground is disconnect the “sat” connector from the head unit and plug the grom harness into the head unit but not to the harness you unplugged, otherwise it doesn’t see the grom module (grom harness comes with both male and female connectors, use only the male one). Once you do that, the set up is very easy. I use the native Bluetooth for calling so the grom is only for streaming music. You do retain skip function on the steering wheel but it’s reversed (down for skipping forward and up for repeat/previous). Sound quality is very good, comparable to cds. I recently changed to android phone and this makes the car stereo enjoyable again at a reasonable cost.

Worth it
It's been 2 months since i installed it , it's working great .my car is Murano 2011 (no NAV) with no Sat button on it even , the back of my Radio has empty port (no cable attached to) and my guess it is for nav/sat systems, so the Groom audio work directly from that port .now i got new menu after FM , if i push the FM/AM button twice i move to SAT menu where the Bluetooth stream goes.it is first Time for me to install electronic device in a car and i was worried , but i managed to do it quite easily but needs patience.the instructions quite clear but i needed to read it many times to understand it clearly.the only bad thing in this device is the hefty price , otherwise very good device.finally my car now has a Bluetooth stream , good bye Aux cables

Works great and easy install.
I installed this in my 2004 Pathfinder with the factory Bose system. I originally was going to just replace the factory radio with an aftermarket one so I could hook up my satellite radio and also use my phone for music. After a little research I realized that the Bose system works in a line level set up and requires an adapter for the radio and the antenna. Between the cost of the adapters, a radio and a mounting adapter for the radio it seemed like a lot of cost and trouble. I stumbled across this and decided to give it a try. It plugs in to the factory radio where the factory XM would plug in. This unit requires you to tap into the constant power wire from the head unit but they provide the piece and instructions to do it. Super easy install and works great on Bluetooth and the 3.5mm plug. I also added the second 3.5mm plug with the receptacle that can be mounted in the dash for any other audio devices I might want to hook up to it. My only complaint is that my phone will Bluetooth to more than one unit at a time and if I'm using my LG headset and receive a call the unit will mute the radio even if I'm on the headset. Not a big deal but I would prefer if it didn't mute the radio unless I am actually using this unit to make or receive a call. Overall still very happy and much cheaper than replacing the radio.

Difficult install, great sound
I installed this on my 2004 Infiniti G35. Even if you've done car stereo work before, I recommend doing youtube homework before attempting the install. The directions are generic and somewhat difficult to follow. The install requires splicing into the main stereo power. Some background in electronics would be highly recommended. I taught electronics repair for 4 years and still found the install challenging. It was compounded by the G35 stereo design requiring disassembly of the stereo, AC control, shifter panel and under dash area. The wire harness could be a bit longer. I had to route the box into the passenger under dash area to find room for the box and the harness was barely long enough. Really, it wasn't long enough if you put an appropriate amount of slack in your wiring.Once installed, the device works great. It connects to your phone easily. The sound quality for the stereo and phone calls is excellent. If you don't want to do a hack job on your stereo, but want bluetooth, I highly recommend this device.

Good device, poor quality
Bought it for Infiniti G37 from the GROM website. The unit worked great for a while but started to lose sound from left channel, I had to take apart the dash 3 time to move the connector around to make it work. Last time it gave me trouble I got tired of it and soldered the cables directly to the unit and now it is working fine. The GROM adapter is good but build quality is bad, specially the cable connector is very substandard. Considering how much they charge for this I think they should use a much better connector. If it wasnt because there really arent any other options I would have returned it, getting behind the stereo so many times to fix this thing was very frustrating.
