Hoppe's No. 9 Cleaning Kit with Aluminum Rod

Great gun cleaning kit. Bought this for my little Ruger 22, and it does the job well. It comes with everything you need to clean your 22 firearm: rod, brushes, pads, lube, and cleaning solvent. The cleaning solvent worked very well to remove the gunk from the barrel of my gun. Would recommend, especially for the price.

This is a great little cleaning kit I purchased it for my wife she just loves shooting the Heritage Rough Rider 22 and the Smith & Wesson M&P AR 15-22 she does more shooting down range then I do however I am so happy I got her this cleaning kit

The "clam shell" isn't really made to be re-usable more than a few times. Additionally, I don't see the aluminum rod holding up too well over time. It's aluminum, feels very much like a lightweight and thin aluminum and I foresee it bending and even breaking after a bit of use. This is like a kit you grab from the store because you're far away from home and REALLY need to clean your gun, but don't want to invest in another cleaning kit because you already have an adequate cleaning kit at home. The kit works, but upon handling the parts and pieces, you quickly get the impression that longevity isn't the kit's strong point. That said, for the price and what's included, it's a good product. But I would not recommend buying this as a primary cleaning kit, but rather as a back-up, spare, or for a .22 that you don't plan on keeping very long.

This is my first time ever using a cleaning kit for my first gun. I have a Ruger stainless steel .22 revolver that I bought used and figured it needed some cleaning. The bullets had to be forced into the cylinders and the cases had to be forcibly ejected. After using this kit, the bullets now tap into place with a fingertip and the eject rod easily pops them out. Based on that, I would say it works well and was easy to use since I was able to use it without any guidance, just the simple instructions. I have no doubt that I will purchase this kit again when the contents of this one are exhausted.

A purchases cleaning kit for my wife who is recently taken up the sport with me. As with most product from this manufacture I found to be this product very well made and easy to use. It fit all of her needs, gave her a good strong product to work from, and helped her in understanding not only the parts of her different firearms but how important it is to clean each of those. I would strongly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good cleaning kit.
