Disappointing Re-design
I loved the original J-41 Misty shoes and have several pair. So, I was so excited to see that an encore style was available. Unfortunately, the new version is constructed to different specifications. There also seems to be a lack of quality control. I ordered three pairs and each pair fit differently. The biggest problems are 1) that the toe bed varies in size from not just pair to pair but shoe to shoe and 2) the back of the shoe either comes up higher or is designed narrower so it rubs against the back of my foot (Achilles Tendon area.) I am very disappointed in the new design and hope that Jambu decides to make some minor alternations in the new productions of the shoe so they are more like the J-41 design. If they do I will buy a pair in every color. But, for now, the three new pairs I bought are going back.

Lasted six weeks.
These are adorable, and I'd hoped they were the answer to all my prayers: cute enough to work in, comfortable to hike in, and water-friendly/quick drying. After my last hike though, my feet and legs were killing me, so I took out the inserts and found HOLES in the footbed!! I am not a crazy hiker, I do about 5-10 miles a week. These are shot, and it's past the return window of 30 days. Very disappointed and will not be purchasing this brand again. I'm also going to shop at shoe stores that offer a better return policy.

A keeper
Cute, easy shoe! Normal 10/10W. Ordered 10, fits nice, kinda like a glove. Possibly slightly short toe bed. My big toe didn't rub walking around the house, but it's possible it could. I will probably experience a bit of heel rub for the first few wears as the back is a little high. The strap is a bit annoying. If I was using these as true "water shoes", then I would deal with the strap as I would appreciate it's support in such conditions. However, I need it to be comfortable for all day wear on concrete, hauling buckets of water that tend to get spilled in my shoes while protecting my toes from falling knives. (Florist) I will probably cut the strap off. I wish that the strap was optional, that you could attach if needed or keep it in the drawer you keep all those interchangeable bra straps!! Cute enough to wear with a jersey skirt.

Great Shoe for Maui
Between these Jambus and a three dollar pair of flip flops, I didn't need any other shoes in Maui. This style of Jambu is cut a tad high in the back and around the ankle and will rub to the point of irritation so be sure to break them in and get used to them. I found that these shoes were perfect for the trek to Nakalele Blow Hole as the terrain is rocky and slippery. They stayed on my feet, beautifully gripped every dry and wet surface, dried quickly, and were comfortable. The bonus is that these shoes are feminine so you can be somewhat fashionable while you are on your adventure. The thin ankle strap can be somewhat uncomfortable so just keep it as loose as you can.

It's more of a Sitting Shoe, unless you love pain.
I've had Jambu's before and was very pleased. Not this time. I'd like to give these 4 stars, but the plain fact is that the top edge of the shoe is way too stiff for comfort. I've worn them twice, and the edge digs into my foot right near the ankle where it rubs enough to draw blood. Needless to say, pain is involved!! In a shoe that is purportedly built for comfort, there's no excuse for this ‚ if I could return it for a refund, I would. They look nice and if you don't plan to walk in them they might be OK, but they call themselves a walking shoe, so...I'm being very generous with the second star.

I had a pair of these I bought at DSW and there was a soft cloth like protection attached to the mesh material
I'm unhappy with the mesh material. It's rough and irritating against my skin. I had a pair of these I bought at DSW and there was a soft cloth like protection attached to the mesh material. This allowed me to wear them without socks or tights. Now my skin on my toes and the rest of my foot feels don't know why they are not made the same when they look the same. I hope it's not to save money. I'm thinking of Sending them back.

Great shoes. Good for walking, breathable.
These are great. The mesh is double layered over the toes (like all the mesh on the shoe), so it doesn't seem likely to wear out too quickly. The strap can get a little uncomfortable after wearing it all day, but if you loosen it a little it feels great again. I love that there is velcro along the whole length of the strap so that you can tighten it or loosen it super easily. The heel also has a soft, sturdy, fabric so your heel doesn't rub. The only problem I've found is that the ankle comes up higher than I expected and it rubs a little on the outside under my ankle bone (I only noticed this after wearing them all day). The blue color is really nice and classy.I usually wear size 8.5 or 9, and the 8.5 fits great. I chose that size after going into a generic shoe store and having my feet measured. I really recommend doing that in general because I found out that my feet are actually smaller than I expected. These shoes fit exactly as what I was measured to be.Update: after wearing them for a week I found that the side of the shoe rubs under my ankle pretty bad if you wear them all day. It especially gets worse if they get wet, and if your skin is raw because of that it will be difficult to wear them even the next day because that spot keeps rubbing until your skin heals or callouses over. These shoes should also be worn with half/no show socks because your feet can get sweaty even with the mesh.

Size runs small, stitching is irritating
I really like the styling of this shoe and have worn the previous version for years. It has been my "go to" show for vacations as it was my most comfortable pair of shoes. However, this new version is not the same. The sizing is smaller (I have worn the 7 1/2 for years) and the stitching around the upper grated on my skin. After walking around the house for just a few minutes, the stitching had reddened my skin and the smaller size of the shoe had my toes irritated. Unfortunately, these shoes are going back as comfort is the biggest reason for owning these.
