It's even better than my Sangean WFR-32 which is much larger. The Sangean is great but I can't get the spoken word to sound the way it should. It always seems somewhat muddled. The LC90 sounds so much better to my ears. The Internet radio database could use improvement and the radio interface needs improvement but the radio's firmware can be updated over the Internet. I've done it once so far and it was quick and easy. The Bluetooth works well and I use it to listen to podcasts from my phone. The battery life is excellent, also. The company has promised more improvements via Internet updadtes so I'm looking forward to that. Please Choyong, don't do anything to degrade the wonderful quality of your sound. 01-12-2025: Just a quick update. The V 4.7 update is available and fixes many of the things I didn't like. The voice search was so bad it made Apple's Siri look good has now been fixed and is excellent. Many new search categories have been added. You've got to love a radio that just gets better and better. It's easy to search for podcasts. Just say "Joe Rogan" and they'll pop up. Newest first. They added RDS to FM which shows up nicely on the high quality screen.

I’ve had this radio now for about nine months. I thoroughly enjoy it as an Internet radio. The updates do not come often enough, and it still has quite a few bugs. When it works, it’s quite fun! The actual short wave radio function is below average. I would only purchase this for its Internet radio functionality. The Facebook group has a lot of great updates, but the promises of software updates are many, but the actual updates are few.

I encountered subpar AM/FM performance, plus all kinds of streaming issues that required me to upgrade to a newer version of the radio. In other words, tack on some more money and time wasted trying to get the blasted thing to work. Sure, the unit offers a plethora of internet options, but the trick is to actually find them, and I'm not really keen on DXing for internet stations.

I had high hopes about this radio, and read/watched a lot of reviews. However, it came loaded with Firmware V4.2 (the latest is V4.6). I tried doing an over the air update, and while the radio did connect with it's server, I got "Verify Failure" every time it downloaded. I then saw a video that said only V4.4 or higher is able to do OTA updates, so I tried the direct uptake method, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the radio to connect to my PC. Another problem was "voice search" - I got "network error" on every attempt. On the positive side, the radio has 1000's of internet radio stations available from all over the world which are not too difficult to load. The sound is good, and the controls work well. I hope that the promised LC 100 will be available soon, and hopefully will have firmware that can be upgraded without the problems I have had.

This radio really exceeded my expectations! This is the best all around radio that I have purchased since my Sony ICF-2010. I’ve only had this for a couple of days, but WOW! I’ve truly enjoyed listening to this radio! Yes you can do many of the same things on your iPhone or iPads. But the sound quality is so much better and your not thrashing your iPhone or iPads battery. Plus it’s so much easier to find something to listen to that trying to search for it on your iPhone or iPads. Great little radio and excellent battery life! I purchased the stand on Amazon too.

This is the best radio I own ( One of 14) Functions well on all bands. Some people have been unable to connect to the internet for Podcast and streaming. I had the problem too, but My Deco router allowed me establish a 2.5 gig connection with a router setting. Once established the the radio connected reliably to 2.5/5 gig service. Other routers may be able to do the same or similar thing. The search function is now greatly improved as is the single sideband operation. The manufacturer continues to improve the software.

This radio shines in internet radio, where thousdan of stations are available. Battery lasts longer. However, regarding the basic radio functions, this ls a regular radio, not diferent than others models.

Best radio I have ever owned, although I don’t use the actual radio part of it, the Internet radio part of it blows my mind. Hundreds and hundreds of stations crystal clear from around the world. THIS is ultimate radio. I can’t recommend this unit enough. Has good sound, goes plenty loud enough and build quality is excellent. It’s also a good size not too big, or not too small. If this company ever releases an upgraded version in the future, I will buy day one.
