What a cool product. It is clear this is high quality and hand crafted wood. It comes with a song sheet with very clear (and easy to follow) instructions on how to play some basic songs, and they sound very unique when played on this instrument. In addition to being a fun product, it is a very cool decorative piece for our living room.

I didn't even know what a Kalimba was until I looked it up. This gourd Kalimba is handcrafted in the USA. It is such a nice relaxing musical instrument. You play it in the fashion of a piano with various Keys. You pluck them with your fingers to produce a relaxing sound. It is very compact and lightweight which is nice to take with you to gatherings etc. It comes with a lanyard to wear around your neck as well. There are eight numbered keys to help make songs simple to play. You can use the included songbook to play 24 songs. With the numbered keys it makes it so simple. You can figure out songs on your own easily. Also, just plucking random Keys has such a nice sound and tone that it almost creates its own music by just playing around. I didn't think I'd end up spending as much time playing this as I did. It is so entertaining and fun you just can't put it down. When I show it to people they don't want to give it back. This is so simple a child can play it but also great for adults who can figure out their own music. I highly recommend this for everyone it's great family fun.

The metal tines produce a clean, crisp sound, and the build quality of the wooden board (hand-crafted right here in the US) is superb. This is an instrument built for beginners, so don't worry if you've never played before (indeed, learning is half the fun!). This Kalimba comes with a songbook featuring more than 25 songs - more than enough to get you started. Highly, highly recommend.

I think one of the tongs is not tuned right, but for what is billed as a premium instrument I have not found it to produce a premium sound...

I am very pleased with this product because it is very easy to carry around and very good for beginner like me. The sound is excellent and the craftsmanship is outstanding. This is the best Kalimba I have ever owned. My wife really appreciate and love this. She can play a few songs or pieces right away. I definitely recommend this to anybody. Very good quality , 8 key Kalimba. Great for my kids to explore sounds and try to play their favorite songs. 8yr old who plays piano picked up the key arragement quickly and is comparing songs on Kalimba to playing sounds on piano. Love the fact that it comes with a strap, so if it slips out of little hands it won't fall onto the floor. Customer support was also very responsive and helpful with a small tuning issue after younger child pressed a key down too far.

I purchased this as a gift for a younger family member that has an interest in music. I expected him to like it, but I am surprised by just how much. He immediately spent hours with it and even after a week, when the newness has worn off, he still picks it up plays it at least once a day.It is also worth mentioning the quality of the craftsmanship of this product is fantastic. You can certainly tell that it is handmade with care and consideration.If you are looking for a musical instrument for a child or something for yourself to spend some spare time on then I do not hesitate to recommend this.

This is a really cool product. I love that it is made in the USA. It came perfectly tuned and ready to play. The song book that makes it very easy to learn around 25 of the basic songs and with it just being numbers, it’s a great way to get a young one started with reading music while they play. Just a cool new addition to our instrument collection and am totally satisfied with my purchase.
