I.am.obsessed.I have never seen such a pretty coloring book in my life. It is heavy. it is full of 50 different pictures. The pictures are absolutely stunning. I use this coloring book as my guilty pleasure when my son goes to sleep and it totally distresses me. I am so in love with it. I included pictures because sometimes on Amazon you don’t get to see what’s inside the coloring book.

Some of the pages I really loved, and some seem a little unfinished. Its an enormous amount of illustration work that was put into this collection, and clearly the artist is very talented, but some of the illustrations needed a little more work to be done and were less polished than the others. I would have rather purchased a book with fewer illustrations that focused on quality and not quantity. The artist works with a mixture of "digital" pencil and regular pencil, so on some of the pages, you will see the differences, and sometimes it seems to work out well in the composition and sometimes it looks like it didn't quite work and the drawing needed a little more polishing. The one thing that really threw me off were the heads, which are oversized for the body, so if you are not used to seeing that, it feels a bit disorienting with the head that really pops off the page and the rest of the body looking a little out of place. I bought the book to practice coloring eyes with, and the eyes are nice and large in this book and very well drawn on most of the images. They all have a very whimsical, playful feeling to them, which was another reason why I liked the book. Most of the images seem to have been influenced by classic fairy tales. In terms of the quality of the paper, I wouldn't feel confident using any water media on the paper. I'm sure its not archival paper so I wouldn't use any expensive artist grade media on it either.

I just received this book yesterday but I love it already! I've only colored a few but it's such a good book. I stumbled upon it recently & it's a bit different than what I've gotten before but after getting it I've realized it's definitely up my alley of what I like to color. It's simple, yet has enough to give you a little challenge & to not feel like a kids book. I did discover that marker is no good, the lines are fine & marker ink makes it look bad (I've included a picture)...pencils on the other hand look fabulous! I highly recommend this book!

As much as I have tried to like this book and some are beautifully drawn the whole page felt really empty. Basically her drawings are centered on one image and the rest of the page is blank. To be honest I feel a good amount of page drawn is where your money is spent well, in a way grayscale or not it's a bit overpriced, especially her etsy store. I didn't really like the way the image of the girls were drawn. The quality of the paper is well and good since it is an artist edition.

I bought this on a whim because I work in an call center and on slow days needed something to do and coloring seemed like a good way to past the time. I'm so happy I bought this. The drawings are so beautiful and coloring them has been such a delight. I definitely recommend buying this book! The designs alone are to die for. I've even hung some up on my desk.

This is a beautiful book. Lots of Whimsical pages to color. This is my second Julia Spiri book and will probably purchase more when I can. Pages are a nice heavy paper so you can use colored pencils, markers, gel pens, or whatever you like to color with. Use your imagination and enjoy.

These drawings are beautiful and magical! I own A LOT of coloring books, but this is the first that I have felt compelled to give a review on. It's not technically a gray-scale, but there are thicker lines in some areas that help with shading and shadowing.I would highly recommend this coloring book.

This book is absolutely beautiful! The pictures, quality of the pages and cover is so nice I'm almost afraid to color in it! I'm going to enjoy choosing colors for each and every picture! Truly worth the price, which is more than I usually spend on a color book!
