These bulbs are very good, though not as good as LED bulbs for saving power yet delivering incredible brightness, but they are dimmable. I've a central light fitting with three bulbs so they draw 84 Watts on full power yet deliver the equivalent of 120 Watts light and will still offer the ability to dim them which CFL bulbs do not, nor do LED bulbs. I've a 5.5 Watt LED bulb in my fridge, plenty of light for a tiny amount of power, and doesn't need to be dimmed. In my lounge though, I rarely have the lights on full yet I do need the option to do so, so these are outstanding for the purpose and use 60% of the power of conventional bulbs.
