Sunflex Twist and Fit Tension Rod 154cm - 275cm

This is not sturdy enough at full extension. It needs a support in the middle which rather defeats it not need a fixture at each end.They accepted a return but I had to pay the postage! Which was going to be nearly as much as the item cost me. So I’ve got a very long curtain rod I can’t use sitting in my hall!

If you're going to use this without extending it, then it would possibly be fine, but given you're probably considering this because of its ability to extend then I'd say look elsewhere. Even without anything on it, the pole drops by 3 inches in the middle when extended across our window. Adding a light net curtain doesn't make this worse, but we've ended up having to thread some fishing wire around the curtain pole to keep this level. Avoid.

Tried two others rails with no luck - one Argos, one John Lewis. This one is ROUND, and STEEL, and thus STRONG enough not to collapse and distort out of shape. I actually attached it with three cup hooks screwed into the wooden supports of the main curtain pole, so don't know how it would fare if not supported in the middle.

Not much to be said here - This threaded through the curtains of my living room just fine and the size was easy to adjust. Looks good. Price was OK.Can't speak to how strong the rod is over a large space as I have three supporting hooks to keep this straight..

This tension rod is a really long length and the longest tension rod I could find but when extended to full length it is rather droopy and requires support. I used small plastic stick on hooks to support the rod which rectified the problem.

Excellent product - but definitely needs a centre support as it bows in the middle. My window is 90" wide and the rod itself fits like a dream.

Very few places you can buy these extra long tension rods. These are sturdy and good looking. Great.
