Q: Where are the mugs manufactured?

Our mugs are manufactured in China. Our strict quality control ensures they are inspected by a 3rd party before leaving the facility and inspected again once arriving in the USA. They are made of the highest quality borosilicate glass which is microwave and dishwasher safe.

Q: Is the capacity 20 ounces to the brim, or will there be some room left for whipped cream or foam on top?

I just measured 20 ounces and checked it out. That much liquid fills it almost exactly to the top (about 1/16 inch spare).

Q: can this fit in a standard cup holder such as a car cup holder?

Not sure. It looks to me like the little-finger tab at the base would get in the way of a cup holder. These things are a bit fragile, so I'd think you would be better off with a mug than with these cups when traveling. I like them for home use, but we have had 2 out of 4 shatter, and a 3rd now has a 3-inch long crack. They do insulate well, though, and they are comfortable to hold. They work well for making tea in a microwave oven.

Q: I do not mean to be rude but what is the price of these mugs without the recipe book?

Your not rude, they are now $40 for the 2 coffee mugs, I bought these mugs 2 yrs ago and they were not that expensive but were expensive at the time. I got no cooking book with them 😳 I do have to say these are the best mugs I have ever bought and my friends/ family have enjoyed having their tea or coffee in these mugs as it keeps the liquid hotter as longer than any mug I have ever owned.
