Perfect for Designers & Creatives – Fast, Reliable, and Stress-Free Backup
As a graphic designer, I work with a lot of large files — PSDs, high-res images, Illustrator projects — and I needed something dependable to offload my work from my computer. The Seagate 2TB Portable Hard Drive has been exactly what I needed: simple to use, fast enough for daily backup, and roomy enough to store multiple client projects without slowing down my computer. Why I Got It:I was tired of my laptop running out of space, especially with the size of my design files. I needed external storage that wouldn’t break the bank but would still keep everything organized and accessible. This Seagate drive gave me that peace of mind and more.Design-Friendly Performance:It works seamlessly with both Windows and Mac. I use both depending on the project. The drive was instantly recognized, and I reformatted it for Time Machine on my MacBook without any issues. Transfers are smooth with the USB 3.0 — perfect for moving big Photoshop and Illustrator files without lag.Massive Storage for Creative Files:With 2TB, I’m storing client folders, final exports, stock graphics, video edits — you name it. It's organized my workflow and freed up space on my devices, which keeps everything running faster.🧳Portability + Protection:It’s slim, lightweight, and easy to carry to client meetings or work on-the-go. Plus, the 1-year Rescue Data Recovery Services included gives me an extra layer of protection, which I really appreciate as a creative professional — our work is too valuable to lose.If you’re a designer, photographer, or just someone with a ton of files, this hard drive is a must-have. It keeps my laptop light, my files safe, and my projects organized — all for a great price. Highly recommended!

Great deal for a lot of space
This Seagate 2TB external drive has been one of the easiest tech purchases I’ve made in a long time. I needed a reliable way to back up my files and free up space on my laptop, and this little drive does the job perfectly. It’s truly plug-and-play—no setup, no software to install. I just plugged it into my USB port and it showed up immediately. Transferring files is fast thanks to the USB 3.0 connection, and I haven’t had a single hiccup using it on both my Mac and PC.It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to carry around in my bag when I’m working remotely. I also really appreciate how quiet it is; I sometimes forget it’s even running.Overall, if you’re looking for simple, dependable storage without any bells and whistles, this is it. It just works—and sometimes, that’s all you really need.

Great drive for large storage and backup.
I'm using this as one of my backup drives. I had been using a 5Tb, but when that died, I went for this 8Tb, which was just only a little more expensive than the currently available 6TB (seems there's no 5Tb anymore). It's quiet, and fast, for a mechanical drive. The case seems to dissipate heat well. The TB drive I'd lost was also a Seagate Expansion drive bought in December 2016. That's a little over 8 years of reliable, quiet drive, that had tons of use and was backed up to, every night with lots of data. I'm seriously hoping I get the same value of this new one.ONLY thing I would improve, this has NO power button. If you want to unmount it, and turn it off for some reason (eg: when I was doing drive cleanups over days and didn't want backup until I was done), I HAD to unplug it.Otherwise, Great drive!

Perfect
Perfect external hard drive. I've used a few different Seagates and they make reliably functional hard drives. I've never had one over heat or have any other issues. In fact, I just got a bunch of data off a friend's old Seagate hard drive that normally would've been lost on most other older drive types. The price they have this drive listed at here is a steal! I got the 4tb for $99. I would absolutely recommend it. It's nice and small for how much it can actually fit. You could essentially stick it in your pocket if you want to. The drive is simple to use. All you have to do to use it is plug it in to your USB input on your computer, laptop or tablet and it would open on it's own. If it doesn't, a simple driver download usually solves the problem. You can also plug this hard drive into your TV to watch videos. Every smart TV has a USB input on it and you can toggle to your hard drive with the input button. Just make sure to eject it after use if you see the option under your drive in inputs.

A lot of space for a very good price.
The price was very good and it works as one would expect. The only thing that wasn't expected is that it only has 25.4 TB of space that can be used. The capacity is indicated to be 28 TB when I go into Properties, so the large 2.6 TB difference is a surprise. I guess there is a difference between binary and decimal, and other things that impact that, so I don't believe there is deception here. But 2.6 TB difference was definitely a surprise. But so far all else is good. Just knocked it down one star for the large TB difference that wasn't expected. I would have purchased it even if I'd known the difference however.

Easy to use and massive storage space.
This is perfect for storing your precious photos and documents. I keep an off board drive at home with my photos and documents on it and a copy in my bank safe deposit box. I ran out of space on my 1T drive, but this thing has more storage space then I'll probably ever need. It's fast and I'm amazed at how much file space it has. Very easy to use, which is helpful if you're not so tech savvy. It gets warm during use, which is normal, bit does not get hot like my other offboard drives.
