Crisp sound right out of the box but much more clear once you’ve paired it with a pc and download the software from The Elgato website. Connectivity is really simple. Plug and play and you’re done. Mute button is a really nice touch. Just a light tap and it turns red which mutes your mic. Functionality is great for a microphone with such a low price. Definitely worth your money. Just as a general idea, you can plug it in your ps 5 or Xbox and works like a charm straight off the box. Although, not entirely sure about the Xbox but the ps5 I can confirm since I own one. Probably works with a ps4 as well but cannot confirm it. Best microphone for a starting streamer definitely worth your money.

For a small mic the sound quality is great. Easy to get setup and the software that comes with it is ace. Some of the build quality could do with improving like the like the single screw on one side of the mic that connects it to the stand, comes loose on its own quiet often. The touch on the front to mute is quiet sensitive, so if your someone the likes to sit close you might mute it with your chin. But other than that all the functionality is there.

I bought the Elgato Wave Neo for my home office to use during work-related webinars and webcasts, and I’m really pleased with it. The sound quality is noticeably better than using headphones or my monitor’s built-in mic, so it’s been a worthwhile upgrade. I’d feel confident using it for an amateur podcast - it’s not a professional-grade mic, but for the price, it delivers great quality. One criticism is that the mute button is very sensitive. More than once, I accidentally muted myself just by adjusting the mic, and only realised when someone said, “We can’t hear you anymore.” The mute button is positioned on the top, but because the mic head rotates 360 degrees, I’ve started turning it so the button is on the bottom to avoid accidental touches. The USB cable can get in the way a little depending on your setup, but it connects really well to my MacBook Pro and works straight out of the box. It’s definitely not as convenient as a Bluetooth mic, but for the price, you get excellent wired performance. I’ve also included a short video showing how easily the mic rotates and just how sensitive the mute button is.

This was purchased for my other half but I was the person to set it up for her, typical of elgato the build quality was great, the sound pickup on the mic is excellent for its price. The mic gains more functionality if the free download of elgato wave link is used and set up correctly.

bought for my daughter, she loves it! i originally tried buying the bundle on Elgato site, but the package got stuck at customs then returned. so i ordered on amazon, and was here very quickly. only downside was couldnt change the pop filter colour like you can on elgato site. Sound quality is great and muting is quick and obvious.

Great product and smooth delivery. If you need a mic just go with this. Does exactly what you need it to and great sound quality.

LOVE this mic! So small and compact for smaller desk users, really easy to set up, doesn’t feel cheap. The mic quality is pretty good for the price, not completely condensing but still quite nice. Sound quality is lovely and the mute button is handy as well.

Ich habe das Elgate Wave 3 und wollte einen stabilen und weißen Arm dazu. Mir war hauptsächlich wichtig, dass der weiße Arm und das Mikrofon zusammen passen. Die Montage war auch alleine super einfach und die Kabelverlegung ist durch die magnetische Platte im Arm auch super einfach. Es lässt sich super hoch/runter/zur Seite schieben und tut genau das was es soll. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass der Preis recht hoch ist. Für die Qualität/Leistung kann man es sich aber gönnen. :)

I've had a number of Blue Yeti mics and, for years, have generally preferred Amazon Basics Professional Condenser Microphones over the Blue Yeti. The audio quality from the Elgato Wave Neo mic is on par with the Blue Yeti and Amazon Professional Condenser mic. It has a cardioid pattern that, as far as I can tell, is not adjustable to other patterns. So, it does lack some features that those other mics have, but I don't do face-to-face interviews or anything, so my mics are ALWAYS set to cardioid anyway. The mic has audio out, but my understanding is that this is just a nearby 3.5mm jack for headphones and it is NOT an audio monitor jack for hearing yourself. I've generally preferred the Amazon mic over the Blue Yeti because of the OLED display. That sounds silly, but it's a great way to see when my mic is muted. I have, for years, used my Stream Deck to toggle my mic mute back and forth and I liked how the OLED was always in sync with that status. I know the Blue Yeti had a mute capability but clicking things on microphones to mute/unmute almost always introduces noise that the other end can hear, so I've always gone with the software solution instead. Fast forward to this Elgato Wave Neo, and my process is changing a bit. I've stopped using my Stream Deck to toggle mute because the Elgato has a capacitive touch button to mute/unmute which turns a light white/red based on status. It's a VERY touch-sensitive button, which I like because I can barely touch it (or not even touch it) to mute/unmute so there's no bumping of the mic. This frees up a Stream Deck button and is nicer/more obvious mute display. Plus, the mic is easily the best looking mic I've ever seen. It no longer looks like hardware pulled from the local radio station but looks sleek and stylish. Plus, USB C. No more Micro USB falling out of the Amazon mic when I bump my desk wrong. It's a weird boot (for aesthetics) on the USB cable that plugs into the mic, but I think a normal cable would work just fine, as well. Overall, yes, I'd highly recommend this mic. In fact, I prefer this over all other mics I've had so far. And it is EASILY the best-looking mic available!
