Perfect size
These come in little pucks .. so easy to fit in a suitcase. They fit well, and I tried washing a pair and they are still fine. I can't wait to use them on my upcoming trip and not have to worry about washing them! Update: I used them on a trip to Europe and they worked great! I'll definitely use them in the future when traveling!

Great for a 20 day backpacking trip. Minimal space, didn’t feel thin.

Work really well for my purpose
I soak my feet in Epsom salts, or colloidal silver, then coat down with DMSO and caster oil. Then I needed some socks to put on my feet. I do this before bedtime. I didn't want to ruin all my normal socks so I some how found these on Amazon. Just what I needed. The product design is genius. So compact and little packaging waste. It's a great invention.

Great Socks
Substantial realistic fit. Interchangeable with regular socks. My wife purchased them for our upcoming safari in Kenya. Babbage for this trip is very limited. These socks take up very little space and weight.

Let Me Explain
What makes these travel socks? Not the thickness. They are actually medium thickness, thicker than I expected for disposables. I've worn and washed one pair at least five or six times now and they are doing better than some other thinner socks that I own in keeping shape, color, and comfort. That said, they are travel because they are packaged like hockey pucks. They are not so easy to undo. And when you open them, they have deep creases from being in a hockey puck shape which makes they uncomfortable to wear until they have been washed. So for medium weight ankle socks, they are actually fine. But I wouldn't want to open a fresh pair and then wear all day while walking like I do when traveling without washing them first. And they are nice enough quality that I feel bad disposing of them--which was already an issue anyway--so I will use these as standard socks over time.

Flip inside out or best results with machine washing and drying
20 Pairs Disposable Socks for Traveling and Vacation, Single-use Compressed Socks Anklet Low Cut Cotton Socks White Black TLDR: The compressed disk is about 1.5"x0.75". Once washed and dried the socks are a good quality soft sock that will last quite a while. If you have to wear them before you can wash them, flip them inside out. The best result I had was machine washing and drying, which resulted in a midweight very soft cotton sock that was very comfortable all day. This is the first time I've tried compressed socks. I'm impressed. Prior to running a pair through the washer and dryer, the socks felt like almost like stiff nylon dress socks. I was more than a little underwhelmed at that point. They were much better when I flipped them inside out. Still underwhelmed, but workable. After wearing them for a couple of hours, I rinsed one sock and hand washed the other. They were significantly better, softer and fluffier. So I machine washed and dried a pair. This pair was better than a lot of my socks (softer, cushy, and very comfortable). I was very surprised and impressed. My guess is that similar to compressed towelettes that need water to expand the fibers, the compression flattens the cotton fibers while allowing the elastic fibers to stretch. Once they've been washed and dried, the cotton fibers fluff back up making them very soft. So, there's a huge comfort benefit to thoroughly rinsing or washing and drying these socks. I would definitely recommend these socks. The compressed puck is super small, the socks themselves are easy to wash and dry with (or without access to a machine), the socks are good quality and will last. I'm impressed.
