It is excellent quality, with many distinctive features, including a foldable, adjustable brim which gives great coverage; it can be tightened to fit the head perfectly; it includes a detachable chin strap; it’s reversible giving two color options; it’s made of breathable cotton/linen, washable material with 50+ UPF rating and blocks UVA and UVB rays, and it’s comfortable and super cute! I just ordered a second one for a Mother's Day gift for my daughter-in-law. Five stars aren't enough!

I purchased this hat (black/khaki) for a trip to the Caribbean. With super pale skin, I burn within minutes and I wanted additional protection along with sunscreen. This hat was the best item I purchased for the trip. Sizing was true, I measured my head and ordered the small/medium size. It fit perfectly. Easy to fold for packing in my carry-on. I didn't have any issues with creases in the fabric. The hat has good sun coverage and I didn't get burned. The fabric is thick but still felt lightweight to wear all day. I also really liked being able to flip it inside out so I had two color options. Final plus was the chin strap. It was breezy and I was grateful to have and use the chin strap. Since my trip, I have continued to wear my hat when I'm outside. I've recommended this hat to others.

I wanted a good sunhat that did not look nerdy and this Solbari hat is perfect. It is a great color and shape and holds up well to being folded or put in a backpack. It is light enough so your head does not sweat. Most importantly, is the excellent sun protection it provides. It is a very good hat and worth the money!

This hat is reversible which was a big draw for me. I like that it matches pretty much any outfit I have. I plan to get another colour soon since the light pink one looks adorable! The quality is excellent and I appreciate that it has a detachable chin strap. I can pair this with a summer dress or a sporty outfit, it’s super versatile. It’s comfortable and offers a decent amount of coverage. It fits my head well and isn’t too tight or loose. It’s easy to travel with and pack in your suitcase. If you’re serious about sun protection, get this hat! It would also make a fabulous gift.

I’ve been looking for this exact hat FOR YEARS! 4” brim! This is the norm in Japan/Korea but hard to find in US. The brim can be folded upward to make it look cuter, or flipped down to provide maximum sun protection. Wire enforced brim and batting(?) keeps the brim from flipping up during wind gusts. The shape you see is the shape you get no matter how windy it is. Removable chin strap keeps the hat in place in windy conditions and there’s also a second strap around the brim that is adjustable to make the hat fit perfectly without causing headaches. The hat is not waterproof. However, it is pretty thick and was fine during light rain. I bought it to golf and it was perfect, didn’t obstruct my view but shaded the back of my neck, covered my ears and shaded down past my chin. And it’s still cute. There is no vent hole, no ponytail hole, but I didn’t feel like it was too hot. I got the light pink which is reversible to a neutral light color. It’s packable but will retain its great shape when opened back up. I had seen this hat on one of my friends when she was at the zoo and I could just tell from looking at it, this was it. I’ve wasted so much money on visors that give me headaches, flimsy lightweight hats that don’t withstand windy golf conditions, hats with 3” brims that don’t cover my jawline, hats that fold up but don’t have great shape when worn, hats with great coverage but make me look like a ninja. This is not my first hat purchase. I am a hat connoisseur, THIS IS THE HAT YOU NEED, if those things I mentioned above sound familiar. In my picture I am looking down so you can see the hat better.

Great coverage and sun protection. Breathable and light. This is my third Solbari sun hat. I have two of the ultra wide brim cotton/linen hats for when I visit areas closer to the equator, but I got this for back home. It’s reversible but I don’t like that the tie is on the same side as the chin straps. Also I prefer the ponytail slot and the elastic head adjustment of the wide brim. In order to get this to fit my head and not fly away, I have to pull the ribbon very tight and it gives me a headache after a while. elastic is more comfortable for all day wear and easier to adjust quickly if needed. Edit: down to three stars now. I tried to remove the linen ribbon and replace it with elastic cord only to discover that the ribbon is sewn in and cannot be removed! So annoying! To make it worse, there’s not a tunnel the ribbon runs through, at least not that runs the whole way around the hat. Once I started threading the elastic through the opening, I realized it was just bunching up in the top of the head . The ribbon only stays in place because it is sewn into the forehead. Very disappointing that I can’t even modify it to have elastic.

Ordered S-M, but sadly didn’t get to wear it. Seems it was either worn before or had manufacturing issues. The good: nice quality linen fabric (no liner, all fabric), nice shape, and easy to fold and light to carry. It is not waterproof. So it will get wet if worn in a pool. The bad: the adjustable strap was worn out (see photo) ; the wooden clip seemed to have been chewed. There was also some discoloration. Like foundation. I think it would wash with detergent but I didn’t want to keep product with its current state and cost.
