No odor, easy on the stomach. Have taken half dose for about a week, two caps in the morning only as that would be my one complaint that dose size is too large. Have noticed improved digestion and better sleep!

I didn't have heartburn until I took this product.

In my recent digestive repair journey, I found butyrate and akermansia invaluable until I was able to tolerate more traditional probiotics. I like that this formula combines butyrate with additional helpful ingredients that may help the gut. If these cause gas immediately, though, my personal experience was that I had to start with plain, but high quality butyrate and akermansia for a while before I was able to tolerate other probiotics so it may be worth setting these aside and coming back to them if they don't work initially. These are currently working well with my system and I would recommend it highly if it had third-party testing for purity. It seems good quality but I have learned that side effects don't always come immediately and looks can be deceptive which is why independent testing in a reputable U.S. lab is so important to me. I do find that four capsules are a bit harder to remember to take since I like to do most of my supplements in the morning, but I'm trying to work these in as two in the morning and two in the evening. When my gut acts up, its easy to remember, but when I'm feeling better, I find I sometimes forget that second dose.

I feel like there are the same type of pills out there that aren't requiring you to take 4 a day. The bottle comes with 30 days worth like others, but 2 in the morn and 2 at night is a bit annoying. I'm used to 1 pill a day, but that is also just a pure probiotic and I'm no scientist, so who knows. Maybe the 4 a day is required for all the other stuff these contain. The price is also a punch in the wallet.

This product definitely comes with a higher price tag, but appears to more than make up for it in its ingredient make up. Going by the label, this appears to be one of the most thorough products in this class, ingredient-wise, that I’ve found, and I am a big advocate and regular user of supplements. As a longtime user of NAC and other supplements that seek to improve gut health and overall liver performance, I had heard of Double Butyrate, but never tried it. With such a complete ingredient list, I figured this was probably my best chance at trying out a quality product. Of course, the effects of supplements will vary for everyone, and often take some time for full effect, but I do feel as though my gut health is in great shape after taking these for a few weeks. As part of a much larger new supplement regiment, it’s impossible for me to attribute my feeling good 100% to this product, but I do feel that it is helping. As far as the capsules themselves, they aren’t terribly big or difficult to swallow. I will say taking four of them a day is a little inconvenient, but I trust that a.m. and p.m. dosing does help it remain at consistent levels in your system, thereby likely increasing efficacy. There is no taste, nor aftertaste, which is great. Upon first opening the (super-well sealed) bottle, there is a bit of a strong earthy smell (right at the top of the bottle) that fades relatively quickly. I wouldn’t say it’s enough to be a negative at all. All in all, this product appears to be one of the best supplements in its class, and one I’m looking forward to taking for at least a few months. Definitely worth a shot for anyone concerned about gut/liver health or just wanting to improve their overall health and wellbeing!

I can't really tell a difference yet...These are easy to swallow. They do not have a smell or taste. The ingredients seem to be good but I have not been able to see a noticeable difference yet. I do not like that I have to take 4- 2 pills twice a day. I prefer only taking something once a day. 4 capsules is a lot and it's not as convenient because sometimes I forget.
