Sturdy and easy to use
Family uses the apple slicer daily. Prior one (different brand) broke in the first year. This one is built much stronger, all steel and thicker construction so expect it to last. Sharp, works well!

Great, but a bit small for the larger apples
Just started to use it - but it's a bit too small in diameter for the larger apples like the Honey Crisp. I'm quite old and have noticed that as the years roll on by, apples are larger than they used to be, from selective breeding, I guess, so that's something that should be taken into consideration when the next model is designed.

No plastic, no breakage
Our original one lasted fro a few years, but two weeks ago one apple did it in and the plastic frame cracked. Looked on Amazon to see if there wer metal frame units and them picked on out that looked like it would fit our need. Best way to slice apples up for pies and cobbler.
