The gasket is very good, my Delonghi dedica was leaking water when I was making coffee. I changed the gasket and now the coffee machine is working very well.

Sure they work well when they actually work but both of the ones I have had have failed and resulted in an explosion of coffee. This is impressive seeing as I'm using a bottomless basket. Upon inspection of the gasket they seem to split in relatively the same way. Even with light tamping (which usually results in under extraction). Ordered another just to see if it's something I am doing wrong with use.

To replace the gasket, the round filter plate has to be temporarily removed, the old gasket levered off from the side, the bed cleaned with a brush, the new gasket pushed, flat-side first, upwards, and the round filter plate refitted.This is easier to do with the help of a small mirror and a small torch, and obviously a short enough, correct size, crosshead screwdriver.Update 2022-12-19:Unfortunately, the filter arm still sometime unscrews under pressure, so I continue to use a 8Kg+ kettlebell to block its rotation, while I look for a solution.Update 2022-12-09It looks like any powder or dust on the filter edges, or on the top or bottom of the 3 tabs, acts like a lubricant, so once this was checked for and removed, the filter arm no longer seems to unscrew under pressure.
