Great Price, Fun to Ride
The media could not be loaded. I initially composed a huge review of the Wheelspeed 27.5 E-Bike. However, I re-edited my review, and crunched it down in to a Pro's and Con's review. Pro'sWheelspeed provides ALL the tools required to assemble the E-Bike, including an air pump, which was a huge bonus.Long Life Battery - Wheelspeed advises the E-Bike bake can go 40-45 miles on a full charge. In reality, I get about 30 - 35 miles on a full charge, which is still good. A lot of factors come in to play on how many miles you get out of a charge. That applies for ANY E-Bike. I ride mostly in PAS Level 2(Pedal Assist) to conserve battery power, and get good exercise. The higher the PAS Level, the more battery you burn up. I also ONLY use the Accelerator on city crosswalks. The optimum battery temperature is 45 - 75 degrees, above or below you lose battery power. Right now our temps are in the 90's, and I lose 20% of my charge. Wind resistance and hills also create a large drain.Tires - quite happy with the tires, good traction. Wheelspeed support advises the tires are not thornproof. I plan to deflate the tires, and install liners in them.Disc Brakes - On many occasions I have had to put the brakes to the test, and had to come to an abrupt stop. Great stopping power on this E-Bike.Display - The display shows MPH, Odometer, Battery Life(percentage), and headlight indicator. The display is backlit, and you can see it in the dark of night. Headlight - Quite pleased with the headlight, four individual LED beams(see pic), and the headlight does not create a huge drain on the battery.Controls - Everything is on the handlebar to easily adjust PAS, bike speed, and accelerator. The bike does come with a horn, and annoying B-E-E-P... However, I installed my own air bulb horn that sounds like a loud duck. I have large hands and have no problems using the brakes, however someone with small hands may...struggle. The squirrels and deer are terrified of the B-E-E-P horn, so...it is of some value. Bike Frame - This E-Bike has a good weld all around, and a good paint job, and pinstriping.Kickstand - sounds trivial, however I love the kickstand. I use it all the time. Wasn't expecting to get a kickstand.WaterProof - Wheelspeed advises "The waterproof level of the bike is IPX4. You can ride in the rain but we do not suggest to ride in the heavy rain." There is a video online that covers how to protect your E-Bike if you get caught in the rain unexpectedly using bags and twist ties to wrap your electronics.ConsBattery Charging - The manual advises not to overcharge the Lithium Ion battery. Apparently when the charger goes green, it does not stop charging. So. I bought a timer on Amazon, and I can dial a six hour charge, and don't have to worry about an overcharge while I am sleeping.Seat - Not much good to say here, stock seat. It is plastic laminate is filled with styrofoam. I went for a short ride when I first assembled the E-Bike. OUCH ! I replaced it with a gel seat. Ahhh !Wires Wrapped Over Crank - The crank sensor, and motor wire exit the frame, and are wrapped under crank(see pic). Several times I have bottomed out the E-Bike, and knocked those wires loose. As a remedy I cut up a hard plastic juice bottle, and created a plastic covering for those wires held in place by wire ties(see pic).Warning/Caution Stickers - I was quite disappointed that the two caution stickers that were put on the bike by Wheelspeed were slightly crooked. Tech Support - No phone support, Wheelspeed support is email based, and overseas. Although, I have no quarrels. I emailed them a long list of questions about the E-Bike, and they answered almost all of my questions.Care - I would not store any E-Bike in a cold/hot and damp garage, certainly NOT the battery or charger. I would not ride any E-Bike without a helmet. I have ridden this bike almost 500 miles, and hit many low hanging tree branches. As per the manual, I clean this E-Bike with a wet microfiber cloth. I would watch some videos on How to Ride an E-Bike, its quite different from a regular mountain bike(twice the weight).Add On's - I purchased two handlebar cell phone holders. I liked both, and kept them(ASIN B08JG9G9CM & B085DMV7XD). I can easily record videos, and talk to someone while riding the E-Bike. I also purchased a bike rack. I was lucky that the bike rack frame clamps allowed my brake and derailleur cables to pass under the frame clamps(see pic). I carry water, a first aid kit, gauze, bandage wrap, etc.

Great E-bike for the price
This bike is a solid e-bike for the price. I have only traveled 40 miles with it but it is solid with a great battery life and nice features. My only complaint is assembly sucks, the instructions are trash. I put it together myself and the wheel came off when riding. Also the seat fastener absolutely sucks. I had to take it in to a professional and they replaced the quicklock for the front tire and the seat lock. Now it works wonderfully and can honestly say it is a great bike. Just be prepared to struggle with assembly, I recommend just taking it in to a bike shop, pay the 100 bucks to assemble it.

Impressive for the price
Especially good value with the coupon that is sometimes available. Bike arrived quickly, but could not be assembled due to missing front wheel connect. However, Seller quickly shipped a replacement, plus a bonus extra rear wheel connector spare. The bike is sturdy and the motor works well, effortlessly switching from thumb throttle to pedal driven mode, the top speed set at 20 mph (but went over 30 going down hill). The motor will power you right up a hill, even if you don't pedal. The seat is fairly small and hard, easily replaced (don't drop the tube down the cylinder!) with a much more comfortable Cloud 9 alternative. Both brakes work well and required no adjustment. Headlight works well. Bike needs a rear warning light; attaching a small, blinking red light to back of seat with a zip tie does the job (helmets are available with such a light built in). The bike looks good too! Just an impressive package at this price point.

Great quality bike
The bike is great quality, the light is brighter than i expected and for those who cant figure out how to turn it on just hold the up arrow for a few seconds and do the same to turn it off, the horn is decently loud, the suspension could be softer though, my disc brake rotors were warped and the seat that comes with it is terrible, so i would upgrade the seat but thats common with every bike manufacturer, the battery lasts me a while, for a 7 mile ride i only go down to 96 to 97 percent, and the motor is quick and the brakes work well, charging time is around 5 to 6 hours

Excellent and solid e-bike
I've ridden several different e-bikes and this one is by far has the smoothest ride, feels solid and has responsive controls. Minor issue with battery (even a lot higher end ones do too) but they communicated well and remedied the situation. Easy to put together and came packaged very safe. Would highly recommend this bike and seller.

Great Bike
I went from using the Wheelspeed electric scooter to this electric mountain bike, and it’s been a huge step up.Speed and Fun: With pedal assist, I can ride like normal. But if I want to go faster or I'm feeling lazy, I just hit the throttle. It goes up to 32km/h on flat roads, and I've even reached 45km/h going downhill. It's a Solid Bike: Even without the electric part, this is a good bike. I did change the seat for a comfier memory foam one. The chain, gears, and switches all work great.Good Features: The battery can be taken out and locked, which is handy. It comes with a sturdy charger, some basic tools, and a pump. Pretty much everything you might need.Battery Life: Really impressive. I can ride about 15 kilometers and the battery only goes down by 1%. Even after using it all day, I still find myself with around 40% battery.Simple Computer: The bike has a basic computer that shows how far you've gone and some other things. Nothing fancy, but it works.Sounds and Safety: The bike has a really loud electric bell. I added another quieter bell for less busy places. The disc brakes made some noise at first, but they got better after a few rides.Great Value: One of my coworkers spent a lot on a high-end electric bike. After trying mine, he said there wasn’t much difference between them, even with the big price gap. After a couple of rides, I got everything set up just right. Now, whether I’m riding to work or just out for fun, this bike makes every trip better. If you're thinking about moving from an e-scooter to an e-bike, this one’s a winner. Great fun without a huge price tag.

Great starter ebike
It’s really exciting as a starting ebike. Price is great and what you get for it is pretty incredible. Easy to assemble.Because I’m riding 30km (1 trip is 15km) round trip to+from work I have to charge the battery almost everyday. I tried to see how many days I can absolutely go without charging and I could skip one day but it was cutting it close. So I’d say 67km (4.5 trips for me) is the range for this bike with PAS. I haven’t yet done a cruise control ONLY (without peddling at all the whole way) ride but I can imagine it’s probably going to be 40km (1.5 trips for me), purely my judgment.General note for ebikes: It’s a really heavy bike (about 23kg) and I use because my commute has some hills. If I was commuting on a flat 15km path a lighter aluminum bike (8kg) works better. The weight of the bike makes you have to use it on PAS mode all the time, so it’s not really a exercise assistance bike, which is something I thought I could do. But one plus side is if the conditions are bad, like strong winds, you always have the option to just hit the throttle and gets some assistance. One annoyance I have is… The bike is quite noisy as you ride over bumpy roads the parts hit against each other and make noise.Everything else is quite perfect! Rides really well!Overall, I completed 300km on it in 3 weeks, with a mix of Urban and trail biking. That’s 300km worth of less fumes in the air. :D
