It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Complete Season 9

The funniest (and hardest working) gang on television is back for season 9 and better than ever. Five stars for Sunny: one of the best television shows ever!Seasoned vets now, they've all relaxed into their characters. In the first episode of season 9, the gang returns to that great bit where Sweet Dee gags during a standpoint routine. It is always a good sign when Dee is at the center of an episode, because Kaitlin Olson is one of the most talented performers currently on television. In this episode, she gets back on stage and its freaking hilarious. The boys don't do much in this episode, but I'm sure they'll be as excellent this season as they have in all the others. Danny Devito's "Frank" brings a new meaning to the disgusting animal. Who can forget the episode where he crawls out of that leather couch naked and covered in oil? Rob McElhenney's "Mac" is also a total original: he wears a duster and does karate, what else can you say? The charisma of Charlie Day's character is big enough for the silver screen: whether he's sniffing glue, talking about "ghouls," or eating a milk steak. Glenn Howerton's "Dennis," always quick witted and brilliant, just keeps getting more creepy and more funny. At this point, I have learned to expect only the best from Sunny, and I hope they keep writing the episodes themselves, because when they do it is always the best!BE WARNED: I'm sure there are a bunch of negative reviews of the show. These are just there because FX has attached promos at the beginnings of all the streaming episodes for some of their other funny productions like Archer and The League. Either that, or they're reviewers complaining the show lost its magic. After 8 seasons, the show has only zeroed in on its magic, and crossed the line from blind luck into seasoned perfection. Don't rag on Sunny, it was the first of its kind and it continues to stay true to this fact! A gang of regular knuckle-heads with their own basic cable television show trying to come up with new ways to make us laugh week after week and season after season, who could ask for anything more? I can only hope they'll be another nine seasons!

This show has its misses but what show doesn't, especially after 10 seasons. I feel that season 9 is just as funny as season 1. Sunny in philly is still going strong. its original and funny. Its a different look at humor. Me and my wife still have yet to find anyone we know that likes this show at all. Its not your ordinary sitcom and theirs no laugh track. The gang (as they call themselves) are jerks, not only to each other, but to everyone. The best way to watch this show is to disconnect from emotion, political corrections and morals and just laugh. This show is very funny and much like Seinfeld, its about nothing. You just watch and laugh.

What can be said of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia season 9? I believe it is a good return to the roots of what made the show great while also revisiting the Gang's past and their previous adventures.One episode that was particularly well done was Gun Fever. If you've been watching since the beginning, then this episode will really pay off and even if you haven't it is still hilarious and on point. The last episode was also great, with the sense of morals and finality (as in the way it ends, if there's closure, etc.) that you would expect from the gang. Overall, I'd recommend this season to any fan or even newcomers, although I'd watch from the start to fully appreciate it.

It's Always Sunny has been a favorite show of mine for years now. A bizarre comedy, jam packed with unique characters and odd story-lines. Every line of dialogue drives the plot forward even though it seems at first to be nothing more than people shouting at each other. That's the beauty of this series and proof of why it's developed a strong cult following. Proving that friends don't simply "hang out", they yell over each other, steal each others ideas, sniff glue together naked in the sewer while trying to run a business and figuring out the age old question: "Who would win in a fight… a mouse or a scorpion?"

This was the very first episode from Season Nine this year 'The Gang Broke Dee'. After the Gang for years has completely verbally degraded Sweet Dee, they find her unbathed, dirty, smoking a cigarette in Paddy's pub, eating an old chocolate cake from the trash, and drinking whiskey pretty near suicide. The Gang can't understand 'how she's lost all of her self-esteem' so they decide to help. It's unbelievable what they do but the ending is hilarious!! I still love this show and highly recommend this episode if you're a fan of Sunny! I just feel really sorry for Dee. She looks like a bird! lol :D

This is a horrible show, about horrible people doing horrible things. It's meant to be watched by equally horrible people. If you can't laugh at everything, you can't watch this show. If you offend easily, stay away.Just know, if you haven't seen this show, tread lightly, it's not for the faint of heart. I love it.Oh and the seller was great as well. The discs were perfect and arrived on time.

I love Sunny, and the gang truly are just the best. Don't look for caring, humility, charity, honesty, or redemption of spirit from Always Sunny, but I am sure you wont miss the true nature of their commentary, I win, looks like you lost, and please don't worry yourself about my depth of consideration for your issue. There is none. Mac, Dennis, Sweet Dee, and my main man, the only member of the gang with a real and unshakable belief in good, Charlie are the reason It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Surprisingly funny, unique show.When I first started watching, I was not sure about this show. 10 seasons later (and a severe lack of sleep) I can quote lines and have been raving about it to anyone who will listen. This show is my go to on my sad days when I need to be cheered up.This show takes the idea of everything is on the table (to talk about, or make fun of) or nothing is. I find it both refreshing and awkward at times.The cast is amazing, and I am pretty sure I am in love with Charlie Day.
