Omniware Tall Easy Grip Mugs, Set of 4, 18 oz, Peacock

I wanted some very large mugs for tea, and prefer tallish mugs rather than wider ones. These worked out to the perfect size, just over a pint. (Pippin: "It comes in pints?") Not that I can't guzzle tea by the quart, but it goes cold. Better to brew a second mugful.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The glazing is smooth and even. The matte finish has a silky feel, pleasant to the touch. The color (peacock blue) was exactly what I expected/hoped based on the photos.At first I thought they were kind of light, but they weigh the same as my other mugs I subjectively find heavier. These mugs are quite well balanced. Must be the tall shape (my other mugs are wide).The packaging left a bit of cardboard dust on the mugs, nothing serious. I rinsed one and made tea and it was fine. I ran the other three (and that one after I used it) through the dishwasher anyhow. No problems, they came out fine.

I originally bought a different set of mugs that the vendor laughingly called "16 ounces". Those were about 12 ounces so I sent those back and got these.I am able to fill one of these mugs with 16 ounces of water plus a tea ball with no problems. The mugs are rock solid. I accidently dropped on off of the counter and it hit the floor with not even a smudge. No defects as far as I can find.

These cups are excellent and of high quality. I love the color, and will look for the dishes and bowls by the same company. High quality and well worth the money. Smooth, strong, sturdy.

Got them as a gift and my mother LOVES them.
