Supershieldz screen protectors have always been my #1 go-to over the years for all my devices, phones, Surface, tablets. They're always cut specific to the phone and this time was no different. Spending a nice chunk of change on the OnePlus Open I wanted to make sure it had the best protection possible. I have a case with a tempered glass protector for the front screen and still wanted a screen protector for the phone itself. The screen protector that comes already pre-installed on the phone is a very basic plastic film. In removing the front cover of my case to clean the front screen, the pry tool pulled up the original one without much effort. I was shocked at how flimsy the pre-installed protector was especially being that OnePlus warns that if it's removed it could void your phone's warranty. Curious, about the quality I ripped it, easily, like a sheet of paper. I took that as a sign to go with what I knew. This Supershieldz came with 4 TPU, self healing protectors, 2 for each screen. Same low price as always, $10 bucks for this one. I really appreciate that they've kept prices consistent all these years. Installation will take a bit of time if you want your device looking good. I suggest taking your time and doing it right. It's a 4 step process with instructions to apply it section by section. It's cumbersome for good reason, after lining it up, to keep the protector aligned and in place, then to make sure you keep dust and particles out during application. You get guide stickers and a dust remover to help and the squeegee tool to get most bubbles out and to smooth the edges. Clean your screen with glasses cleaner before starting to remove oils then wipe it dry with the microfiber cloth you get. It'll help with adherence. Smoothing the edges is paramount because you want them sealed to keep dust out while getting rid of air bubbles. TPU naturally stretches, which is a property needed for self-healing. Self-healing is great because any scratches you have will disappear. Because of this, while you squeegee be gentle and don't use anything additional with sharp edges to push the bubbles out. The front screen is obviously less tedious than the larger main screen because you don't have to worry about the ribbon. After getting both on I let my phone sit for about 14 hours untouched while the smaller bubbles dissolved. That's not required at all, just something I did so I wouldn't mess it up while the protector was setting, akin to not rolling down your car windows after having them tented. The next day I had no bubbles. You couldn't tell there was a screen protector on aside for the camera cut outs. No creases or bubbles down the ribbon of the phone. It doesn't stick when I close it. My case fits with it just fine. Perfection.

I had some issues initially getting the front screen on (have always been used to tempered glass protectors). However, once the protector went on, it looked really good. It covers the whole screen and feels good to the touch. I haven't applied the main screen protector yet. Customer service was extremely responsive when I contacted them for a problem. Have used Supershieldz before and can vouch for them.

Literally after a few hours not even a day the film was coming off. Not recommended at all

Pros: Does not mess with screen responsiveness, does not interfere with original case protector, good instructions with video.Did not installed the big screen protector as I only wanted it for the main screen. But is good to have just in case.Cons: none yet.
