I found a new use for one of my power tools.
The metal cone balancer works very nicely. But I modified the sharpener by trimming off most of the plastic backing guide and chucking the thing up in my Rotozip tool using the 1/4" collet. I then set the built-in guide on the Rotozip very close to the stone (now that the plastic is out of the way) so that the tool's stationary guide contacts the mower blade. The high RPM of the rotozip really put the edge back on the mower blade in a hurry. I kept the tool moving along the blade using 6 super quick passes on each blade end, checked balance and then made 6-9 more fast finish passes to rebalance the blade. I was surprised by how straight the finished result was.Note: the manufacturer probably never imagined nor would ever recommend anyone spinning the sharpening stone that fast, but mine stayed together fine. Definitely use safety glasses or better yet, a full face shield if you have one.

Be carefull with sharping.
Balancer works great, sharpening tool just takes time, but sharpened my nicked up blades nicely. JUST take your time sharpening .

get what ya pay for
well i can say is the balancer is just fine ,but the sharping stone is junk .was doing my mower blades .on very first one it broke in half .only used it for about 30 seconds maybe a minute. stars are for the balancer

Save your money
junk. Sharpener is an absolute waste and the balance isn't really necessary. Pound a nail in a board and use this to balance your blades.

Plastic melted and flung at me bro.
Ok so the stone has a plastic guide. Plastic at high speed = burning plastic. How n the heck am I gonna sharpen a blade with a tool that friggin melts!??!

Would not buy again
Very slow to use. Did not work well with the blades for my riding mower.

great
all metal not the cheap plastic as others ... as described and will work for its intended purpose just fine.

Can't do without it if you sharpen your own blades
