This little whale dish is perfect for the nautical and beach lover. Made of white speckled earthenware clay. While the clay was still wet, I imprinted the whale design which I made from a stamper I carved out of clay. The intricacy of the whale design is highlighted with gray glazes. The border is painted soft turquoise blue. Fired twice in my kiln for durability, and painted using non-toxic, lead free ceramic glazes. Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in diameter. One of a kind, and entirely handmade by me in my studio in South Carolina, USA.
