As a professional orchestral player, I will use this book regularly to remind myself of the fundamentals, and keep in shape through a selection of my favourite exercises within the book.I am sure that even the most advanced solo players will find the book interesting and learn new things especially towards the end of the book where the more complex technical discussion are. For example, I really like the conversation of the solution to do with baring fourths using the thumb and 1st finger, as well as the utilisation of the 4th finger in thumb position.
