Perfect solution
I bought this for my 7 yr old who was just learning & struggling to correctly place his thumb. This gadget provides a groove for the first finger, which in turn encourages the thumb to align better. Six months on & he feels he doesn't particularly need it now but it was well worth the £12 as it made that initial introduction to the flute much easier & accessible to him. It looks cool too.

No Pain nor Cramp with My Index Finger!
