Reed need
This DUDUK has a learning curve that will try beginners( like me) in terms of it being a double reed instrument and yet it is probably a good starter under the instruction of an experienced player . I knew that it was going to be a challenge when a clarinet player was impressed by the double reed and recommended that the reeds carefully be kept moist enough to play easier . After being contacted by Amazon by a question posed by a recent customer i pulled mine out again and put one of the reeds in water for 10 -20 minutes and was able to play it way easier than my first go around and i experimented with sounding the reed so this time . My experience in terms of flute type instruments are the recorders and Native flutes so cannot speak to the level of quality because my only goal is learning music and playing .

One of the reeds was broken
I bought this product with the ilusion it would be as promised... That is "Professional"But when it was delivered, one of the reeds (mouth piece) was unusable since it had a long tin crack from where you place your lips, down to the base of the reed.As an active buyer I have had my experience with claims, but this provider has been relentless on the return policy an said he would not replace the broken product unless I buy another one, and in that shipment he would send me the extra reed from the previous buy.Does that seem fare to you? Well... If it does, buy it.But if you don't, then please take my advise and first try to obtain it elsewhere.Site sujested for info on the instrument and what to look when you buy one:[...] (a little more expensive but is the real deal, not a flawed product form a duduk-maker wanna-be)Don't flush your money away.

NOT PROFESIONAL LEVEL
This is not a professional level duduk. Not even a $300 duduk could be considered professional. This duduk is ok if your a beginner and dont want to waste that much money. That being said, it's very hard to play on it. You will run out of breath very quikly on an instrument of this quality. The sound is not that great either, it sounds nothing like the ones played by Eustache, Dabagyan, and Djivan. I would give it a higher rating if the description wasn't filled with lies, such as "the best reeds." An alternative would be to bye one from Vache Sarafyan, but his go for around $300.
