Star Trak Hardcover – August 1, 2002

I purchased the Anton Corbin Star Trak book after watching a documentary on his work recently and I was blown away at the quality of his black and white work. Unfortunately, this book for some reason is completely printed in this weird sepia coloured tone making a majority of the images look rather flat and wishy washy. If they were printed the way they were meant to look, this book could have rated amongst one of the best books I've got but now it has gone amongst the bottom of the photography book pile due to the way it was printed.

Anton Corbijn is well known in the world of musicians ,actors ,writers,poets and other artperformers .He photographed them in an unusuale and exceptional way in beautiful black and white pictures

Absolutely incredible book, I highly recommend to anyone who likes the portrait genre in photography

Anton Corbijn is a genius. As a photographer and/or album cover designer for groups like Depeche Mode, U2, and REM, his unique style captures my attention like no other. Unlike Herb Ritts or Bruce Weber who, by comparison, appear glossy and slick, Corbijn has a gritty approach to photography that makes him stand apart from the competition. No doubt, "Star Trak" is pricey, but for those looking to spice up their coffeetable would be foolish to ignore this great book. A few stars who have gotten the Corbijn treatment are Clint Eastwood, Morrissey, David Gahan, Tricky, Neil Young, Kurt Cobain, and countless others. Handsomely presented and elegantly shot, "Star Trak" is worth a purchase.

Anton is a darkroom master and I think this is his finest collection. His ability to present celebrities uniquely shines on these pages. My favourite photog.

Brilliant and totally what the photographer is all about. A Classic which few should be without.

After buying this book I felt like I bought 113 perfect photographs. I'll back to this album very, very often.

Anton Corbijn è uno dei miei fotografi preferiti, i suoi ritratti di musicisti, attori e personaggi famosi sono noti e colpiscono sempre per lo stile semplice e personale, sempre riconoscibilissimo. Il libro presenta una galleria di ritratti veramente molto belli, è un acquisto davvero consigiliabile, specie per chi apprezza lo stile del fotografo olandese.L'unico mio appunto riguarda la resa tipografica delle immagini in bianco e nero, che risente di un contrasto eccessivo.

Mein Lieblingsautor was Fotobücher betrifft; Was soll ich da noch bewerten.Subjektiv ist es das beste Fotobuch. Objektiv ist es gut verarbeitet, gut verdruckt undmacht einen stabilen Gesamteindruck. Holt Euch das Buch, wenn Ihr schon mal Arbeitenvon Anton Corbjn gesehen und für gut befunden habt. Es ist eine Wohltat seine unkonventionellenArbeiten anzusehen, bei denen die Probanden noch sehr natürlich rüberkommen...Kaufen, wenn man auf gute moderne (analoge) Fotografie steht !!!
