Womens Sun Hats Neck Flap Large Brim UV Protection Foldable Fishing Hiking Cap

This hat fits my big ol' head just great, but I'm very disappointed after having bought the lavender one - which is poly/cotton - to find the orange one is 100% polyester. This may not be a big deal under normal circumstances, but as I'm still bald from chemo, and it's summer in NC, and my internal thermostat is way off - I'll have to wear a cotton bandana under the hat to keep from feeling like my head's cooking. Granted, it will keep the sun off my head, face, and neck, thus preventing sunburn, freckles, and skin cancer (like I need THAT one on top of breast cancer! ;-) ), and thus more broiled than I normally do outside, but why anyone would make a polyester hat for summer is beyond me. Still, I'll keep it as between my bandana idea and the hopes I'll have actual hair again next summer, I'm bound to wear it anyway.

This hat was gift for my friend, a boat captain. She LOVED it but didn't use the chin strap b/c she didn't think it was too windy. Well, the wind caught it and it went sailing into the Chicago River at "rush hour" so there was no turning around to look for it. As I was about to oder a new one (she was devastated by the loss) we noticed a Chicago Coast Guard boat rescuing the hat. They pulled up alongside our boat and delivered the soaking-wet purple sun hat to us! It was a miracle and everybody was so happy with the results!

I looove this hat! It is as light as a feather, very comfortable and easy to carry (I just laid it flat in my suitcase when I went to Mexico and it took practically no room). The strap that goes under the chin is comfortable. I also like the part that extends in the back because I have shoulder length hair and it protects it. That way, I keep my hair from looking like hay. It is not meant to be an elegant hat but for sporty activities such as hiking, taking a walk in the sun or gardening, it is absolutely perfect! I bought it in pink and it is a pretty hue of pink. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants some protection from the sun and is concerned about wearing a heavy unbreathable hat (this one lets the air circulate easily around your head and your hair).

Cute & bright color but nothing indicates its really has SPF 50. Only tags I see are "Made in China" & "100% Polyester".

Love this sun hat - fit's me very well, however it could be tightened for a smaller head. Light weight and with the neck strap it doesn't blow off in the wind. I'm using it for sun protection while gardening.

Wore this on a vacation with a LOT of sun. My entire face was shaded and my neck and shoulders were protected without making me hot and uncomfortable. It was very windy by the water, so the chin strap worked great. I took the scarf off as the hat is pretty utilitarian and it felt like putting lipstick on a pig. No offense, the hat looks fine, it's just not glamorous.

It’s just a great hat! The neck flaps are light and the hat fits great. The brim is very manageable and I’m glad I got a hat with a neck strap. It was breezy and it stayed on!!!

This is even more cute then I thought it would be ! I am not much of a hat person, but we have a big trip planned to the lake this summer. Last year I was frying in the sun. I think this will help this summer !!! And, I'll still look cute !
