Dieses Buch ist ein Gesamtkustwerk, wie bei dem Verlag auch nicht anders zu erwarten. Bis jetzt war jedes Buch sein Geld wert, welches ich mir gekauft habe. Ich kann nur jedem der Qualität zu angemessen Preis will, zu diesem Verlag raten. Das Format ist immer so ausgesucht, dass man alles gut darauf erkennen kann. Es zeigt eine nicht bekannte Seite von des Nachtlebens.

This book is just what it's described to be - one young photographer's fascination with Hamburg's old Rahperbahn (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) district and all the infamous sex clubs and brothels that were synonymous with German absolute decadence and debauchery throughout the postwar years through the 1980's. All of that's gone now, replaced by conventional businesses as this kind of stuff is greatly frowned upon now, but this book really shows you how it was, for the men and the women, and crossdressers, and everything in between - mostly very beautiful women though and many very candid shots of ladies (and couples) on-stage doing a wild variety of things in a room full of men wearing plaid leisure suits. It's hard to imagine a place like this ever existed, and it's even harder to comprehend that he got permission to bring a camera around in these clubs to take photos and even take photos back stage and in dressing rooms!VERY revealing book in every sense. If you're offended by nude people performing sex acts - do not buy this book. It's mostly women dancing or doing other things, or posing, or just being caught in a candid moment, but, there are photos of more things typically not seen, which is very unusual in a book of this type.The printing quality is superb, it's big, it's heavy, it's printed on outstanding paper stock and the photos, while hardly the work of Helmut Newton or Mulder, are very interesting and have an extremely nice and raw look and feel to them. It's as close as you'll come to seeing what it was like, and it's well worth buying if you like studying erotic photography or just want to see a period of erotic history that's likely gone forever.I'd highly recommend it - just don't leave it lying around if you have children or if the preacher is coming over for a visit!
