There were no instructions and the packing materials were missing a bolt. Otherwise it worked out perfectly for my life drawing class. I was able to easily move it to a new view of the model.

I love this stand it’s amazing. I only wish the clip on the stop was different. Maybe more gripping and sturdy. Other than that no complaints at all.

It has a leveler and a compass, this is easily the best easel I ever owned, and I will buy it again if this one breaks.

I have several different easels, most are wood and heavy and i wouldn't dream of taking them outdoors. This one is the opposite, it's full size but packs down like a camera tripod into a small package. And goodness, this easel is loaded with features. The feet are on a swivel and self-leveling, the head snaps on and has a spring loaded buckle to hold it in place, it can be cranked up and down to accommodate different sized canvas, two little pads to support the back of the stretcher sticks and keep the canvas from wobbling as well as a wide shelf for holding the canvas in place. There's also a little hook at the bottom that can either be used to weight the canvas or hold water/turpentine/brush bucket/etc. Everything is adjustable which is just awesome. The whole body is made of metal-- pretty much, and can take a beating without damage. Breakdown takes a moment or two and the whole easel fits into a carrying pouch. I take this into the field when i'm feeling inspired to do on-site paintings or charcoals. I've been nothing but impressed since i got this easel, and i hope to keep using it for years to come!
